How sad. This article believes they were going to 'hit a lick' (burglarize) a salvage yard and each was pulling a 'trailer'. This report also states that the victims were dismembered and that the salvage yard owner of two salvage yards (Kennedy) is now missing. Gruesome. Just call the police dude.

I think he’s the most logical. IMO while I agree what’s happened is heinous I do not feel it was premeditated. I think he found them, shot them & and then panicked. I’m not sure if it was self defense but if he was being robbed and those 4 good sized men made him feel threatened I could see it escalate. I don’t think there are many men who wouldn’t feel intimidated being that outnumbered especially if they caught you off guard. The disposal is sheer panic. I doubt they find him alive IMO.

If you look at the tattoo shown on Billy's chest, that is a 5 point crown. Which is something people who are affiliated with the Latin Kings gets to show their connection. Latin Kings are known to help with trafficking and enforcing for other organizations. Not saying this has anything to do with it, but that's the reason that I brought that angle up to begin with.

I goggled (I know, sp) Latin Kings tattoos and pinterest popped up with 46 Best Latin kings ideas along with a handy Gang Signs poster. I thought pinterest was for recipes and crafts. wth.

Kudos to LE for so quickly 'concluding' this case. Apparently according to the link Joe Kennedy didn't know the four men and the lick was supposed to be enough, speculated by the 4 men, to take care of all four if successful. Another person who was invited by the 4 provided LE with info.

"During a press conference Monday, Prentice said that based on information provided by a witness who was invited to join them, police believe the victims planned to commit “some type of criminal act” when they left the house. The witness told investigators that the men were planning “to ‘hit a lick’ big enough for all of them,” the police chief said."

I’m having a hard time with one person doing all this. And I’m wondering about the missing man now too. Yes he seems to have a reputation, but I dunno. Something it’s setting right.

True, unless JK had the element of surprise and possibly a semi automatic and they were just all killed immediately. Someone else speculated that JK may have felt intimidated by the sheer number of men. Just spinning wheels. but the sleuther who felt they had been dismembered due to the language used by LE was spot on.

I hate to hog the thread but...four men after dark riding bikes pulling trailers would really stand out. I guess there would have been 5 men after dark riding bikes pulling trailers if the 5th guy hadn't declined!
I'm glad the 5th man is still alive AND can fill in the blanks.

Did I misunderstand, or did they say one of the phones was pinged at the Murphy's gas station? If so, that's a Walmart parking lot, which is loaded with cameras. Which makes me wonder if they have footage of JK at the gas station at that time. If not...how did the phone get there?

Actually, Chastain's phone went to the gas station, the victims were not seen on any video there and they haven't said if JK was seen there. JK then drove home, to the salvage yard south of Okmulgee, possibly to get "tools". Mark's phone was at JK's home property/salvage yard and turned off there. It is not thought that the victims rode bikes anywhere but the salvage yard which is nearer to their homes, where they were killed. The vacant lot/adjoining property is in Okmulgee.

If it’s a cartel, they use machetes. If they’re trying to make a statement, they don’t shoot their victims before they start dismembering.

Leaving body parts in a visible place - either the person was sloppy and overestimated the depth of the water, or they were making a statement/warning to others.

There were statements made in the media about bodies part sticking up out of the water,which leads away from consideration . IMO. Those would be mulch sized parts and not likely to be spotted at all, and they said today ,the last part of evidence was located today. They imply they have all of the mens remains.

I live in urban area, however we have a noisy shooting range not too far away.

I live in a suburban area. Our PD has something called "shot spotter" that can distinguish the sound of gunshots from fireworks or cars backfiring. When "shot spotter" detects a gunshot or multiple gunshots, PD is immediately dispatched to the location of the gunshots. Technology is amazing, IMHO.
