I think you are correct. In theory, a bicycle cart can hold hundreds, or thousands of dollars in scrap metal and catalytic converters.

And now, the possible practical aspects:

- Does the owner of the scrap yard remove the frequently stolen catalytic converters from the cars immediately upon purchasing them?

- Would an automotive scrap yard have a lot of high dollar metal parts (brass, bronze copper) already cut out of what they came in and lying around for easy load up by thieves into carts?

In the end, the practical profits maybe very different than the theoretical profits.
A bicycle cart may be able to carry a large amount of stuff, but you still gotta haul it. Scrap metal will be heavy!

Trying to catch up to the 18 pages so far. Earlier posts mention six men? Was that reported in error by LE and later corrected? It seems obvious to me that the four men were not going for scenic stroll so I can only assume that the bikes allowed them access that a car would not, or provide stealth compared to a vehicle.

Video: Loved ones are left with questions after human remains were recovered from a river near Okmulgee

Either in that interview, with a segment removed in editing, or during his [BH's] interview with another network he added that the people in this town know "who they are." Street Fighters" Does that indicate they're bullies around town?

Wonder why one of their bodies was found at the salvage yard 3.6 miles away from the river? [Thanks, @Elley Mae ] Does that indicate that 4 others were in the water; therefore, we have five dead victims located?

I think most of the locals know exactly what these guys had been doing over the years. Some type of unsavory behavior may have led to their demise.

I'd like to see an image of one of the bicycles with the trailer attached. My morbid curiosity wants to view the images taken from the bridge of the bodies in the water.
Maybe there wasn't a whole body in the field, and MSM just assumed. Maybe just body parts from 4 victims in the river? Gross to be "parting out" bodies like scrap, but there ya go.

I don't believe they road bikes for 20-30 miles. They just don't appear fit enough. Mr Friday Fan rides for exercise. I believe he covers about 9 miles in an hour. Mr Friday Fan is not what one would consider athletic, but a middle aged man who needs to get his exercise. With these guys, they compete with city traffic which slows them down.

I used to ride my bike to school. It was 5 miles. (Unfortunately, I can't remember how long it took)

My grandparents were Armenians living in Turkey and horses were their only source of transportation. (Early 20th Century..no cars or train) It took a day to get to the nearest city, which was about 30 miles away. (Hence they rarely went)

So, no I don't believe they rode 20-30 miles. My hunch is they averaged about 5 miles or so on their average bike trip. I believe their phones may have traveled 20-30, but I don't believe they rode their bikes for 20-30 miles
Especially if they had bike trailers which had to slow them down

If the 4 were murdered, and murdered by a local, why dump the bodies in a local nearby shallow river (bed)? where the bodies of the 4 were sure to be soon discovered quickly turning this into a murder investigation sooner rather than later. And how is it the perps or the victims themselves weren't seen on surveillance video?

It seems, imo, that the 4 men were expected and killed quickly. This appears more nefarious than just stealing scrap metal.
Imo, the killers were not local and are well out of town by now. Moo
You think they stepped on some bigger guys toes?

What about clothing. Shana DiMambro's case. She went missing on July 19th and was found on July 29th. That was ten days later the body was heavily decomposed. Initally she was identified by her tattoos. These men have been missing a lot less timewise 4 days if one accounts Monday early morning to Friday afternoon. So if they had tattoos, which I think I read they did then something should be identifiable on them. So why not?
Agreed, I'm thinking their clothing was intact and they were found soon enough for any tats to be visible.

So far, the only confirmed locations are the last place they were seen, bodies in the river and a body at the salvage yard. Finding the bikes seems crucial to better understanding whether they were at any other locations, or whether their phones were at other locations.

Wait. How did I miss that another body was found? Do we know that it’s related to the others?

Google maps show that train tracks run alongside the salvage yard. (Also by the other salvage yard that has been mentioned.)

Curious how often trains run? Could train noise help cover the sounds of gunshots? Carry away items (bikes?) tossed on open cars as it went by?

Speculation only. MOO.

Replying to self so I can explain after checking several MSM sources, none of them report a body being found at or near the salvage yard. Reports are that LE are searching salvage yard at W 20 St and S Madison Ave. Hence, there are 4 victims and all 4 were recovered from the water as reported by a passersby on FRI, afaik, att.

Wow. Thank you, @otto !
Take it with a grain of salt until police confirm that another body was found. Some reporters make assumptions without verifying fact. It's one thing to consider for now.

Either way, it does sound like something significant was found at the salvage yard that is near the river where the bodies were found. That could mean that was the first crime scene.

Yes, I realized after watching that this was speculation. I appreciate it!

I'm from Oklahoma, and I made this account to post about this case specifically. My money is on cartel involvement, for these reasons. <modsnip - no link to statements made as fact> When I was younger I was a skip tracer, and unfortunately have some real life experience with situations like these. The fact that they were dumped off a bridge with little care given to hiding the bodies, makes me think it is an organization who regularly does these kinds of executions. The fact that the phones were pinged going in two different directions is another giveaway. I pray that I'm wrong and just biased because to see them be this bold is terrifying, honestly.

Thank you for the local insight! Four dead 30 year old men, described by someone who knew them as accomplished "fighters", gives the impression that they encountered more than one person. That seems like the only explanation for how they were put into some sort of vehicle and transported to the river, then piled into the river.

The odd fact seems to be that they were on bicycles. Was that so they could sneak up on someone, or so they could flee easily off-road in four different directions if they ran into trouble? Bikes aren't helpful when encountering someone with a gun.

do we know if the men carried guns in them routinely? Knives?

I have yet to see that on any of the local news outlets. KTUL, KOTV, KJRH, or KOKI. Not saying there wasn’t a fifth body, but if there was, it’s not being reported on the news. Most recent stories still state the ME is the current bottleneck.
