So far, the only confirmed locations are the last place they were seen, bodies in the river and a body at the salvage yard. Finding the bikes seems crucial to better understanding whether they were at any other locations, or whether their phones were at other locations.

Salvage yard where another body was located.

Google Map
Total of 5 bodies discovered?

I've watched the news video 3 times and they clearly reported human remains were found at a second location. Why are there several posts saying it was just speculation? I'm confused. I apologize if I missed it somehow. Is it just that no confirmation of another body was found? Just 'human remains' (perhaps parts of the 4 bodies discovered in the river)?

I don't know how Native American lands work from a legal standpoint, but Google Maps shows that this is within the Muskogee-Creek Nation boundaries.

That is correct. Okmulgee is the Capital or Tribal Seat of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
So that gives the case to the FBI?

No. This would only be relevant from a legal standpoint if the victims or perpetrators were Tribal Citizens. The FBI investigates and the Tribal or Federal court sees the cases.

Just because a crime occurred in Creek land, doesn’t mean that it would only apply to Creek victims/perpetrators, though. It applies to all members of the 5 tribes, regardless what Sovereign Nation the crime occurs on - for example you could be a Cherokee victim on Creek land, it still applies.

Thank you! I'll look for it.

I found it surprising that the families reported the 30 year old men missing so quickly. A 30 year old man who doesn't come home after a night-time bike ride with friends doesn't sound like a police matter. It's easy to think maybe they hit the pubs or got carried away into the morning hours and were sleeping it off until the afternoon.

I wonder what caused the families to be concerned so quickly, and what else police might know about the reason for their evening outing.
His wife said he was supposed to wAtch their child while she began her brand new job. She knew he was planning to be home for her to watch the baby very early that morning but she couldn't reach him at all. She knew there was something wrong.

The other salvage yard, LE searching for something. 20th and Madison

Interesting. That first linked video says there were remains found there. No other news station has picked up on that. Wonder if it was a mistake on the reporter’s part, or if LEO said something on accident?

I’m still puzzled over the missing bikes.

True that getting rid of the body after killing someone is a hurdle that must be cleared. Not one, but four bodies were disposed of in the water. Not an easy feat accomplished on these four strong fighters.

Whoever made this intimidating exhibit out of these four men in the muddy river did not care one iota who saw what was done to them. They want the community to feel fear by this display of power and terror. Their four bodies were left in a shallow river out in the open; not hidden in the bushes.

That is bold action and brazen behavior not typically observed in the area. moo

I saw that video, too. However, I thought it was possible remains were found in the field near the scrap yard, but the remains belonged to the bodies in the river. So, still 4 bodies, but the pieces have been "parted out" so to speak.

MOD NOTE:

Multiple comments have been removed from this thread over the course of a few days. Here are a few of the reasons and general RULE reminders:

- Websleuths is a victim-friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing known victim behavior, good or bad, is fine, but do so in a civil and constructive way, and only when such behavior is known to be relevant to the case. Stating that a victim is/was a thieving gangster when no such information has been released by an authorized source to support such a statement is simply not okay.

- These are the RULES concerning social media. There are several pages allowed to be linked and discussed. However, the following applies to even those: Comments and posts by readers/visitors of these pages are not allowed to be linked, quoted, copied or referenced. They are considered rumors. Just don't mention them.

- ANYTHING you post as a fact MUST include a link to that info in mainstream media (MSM) or a statement by law enforcement (LE). If you can’t link it, DON’T post it.

- If you are close to this case, and have inside info you would like to share here, you MUST APPLY and be APPROVED as a VERIFIED INSIDER.

If you have a question about the rules or are unsure of something you want to post, reach out to a Mod or Admin privately or use the report feature located at the bottom of a particular post.

Thanks for helping keep Websleuths amazing!

I dont know.

My very general impression is that Oklahoma tribes have different arrangements law enforcement wise than tribes in other states.

Thank you for the local insight! Four dead 30 year old men, described by someone who knew them as accomplished "fighters", gives the impression that they encountered more than one person. That seems like the only explanation for how they were put into some sort of vehicle and transported to the river, then piled into the river.

The odd fact seems to be that they were on bicycles. Was that so they could sneak up on someone, or so they could flee easily off-road in four different directions if they ran into trouble? Bikes aren't helpful when encountering someone with a gun.
How many bikes had carts attached? I wouldn’t think they’d be very fast with a cart but JMO.
With little to no evidence my money is there was illegal activity going on at the yards, they were killed and then dumped. The 5th body is what’s interesting, was he a look out? Accomplice? Was he one of the bad guys that was killed in a scuffle? Time will tell IMO

Maybe the four were delivering something in the bike trailer to the salvage yard instead of taking the trailer to the yard to pick up items?
Maybe they weren't even going to the salvage yard?
Sorry if I missed this already.

I'm not hearing anything about a fifth body. All the MSM sources only mention four bodies.
There is a search at a scrap yard, but MOO is that they are searching the scrap yard for evidence.

  • #398
If something went down at the scrapyard resulting in four dudes gettin’ iced, why bother loading them up in a vehicle and risk getting evidence all over the place? Why not leave them in the scrapyard? Only makes sense to dump the bodies if its riskier to leave them where they are then to transport them.

I still think accidental drowning is a possibility here, unless some evidence has come out recently that would rule that out.

Yeah....that's my train of thought...
