very, very disturbing that someone can do this to 4 human beings.
It is premature to judge him IMO. He may have had a reasonable belief his life was in danger prior to the killings.

While I agree, if his life was, in deed, in danger, then running from the investigation definitely makes that less likely believable. There are laws in place to help those who feel like they have no choice but to defend themselves - but they do require you call the cops immediately. It is premature to judge him IMO. Not judging anyone in particular..just said someone. Imo fear for life would cover the shooting but the dismemberment...that is very disturbing. It is premature to judge him IMO. He may have had a reasonable belief his life was in danger prior to the killings.
That answers a few questions! They were intent on criminal activity that night. The victims have multiple bikes that are probably used for criminal activities so it's unlikely they'll ever identify the missing bikes. They were shot next to the salvage yard. They were very likely dismembered to make it easier to transport them to the river.
The only person missing is Joe Kennedy, the Person of Interest. How did he over take 4 men?? i’m in disbelief!
one person is still missing??
The smart thing to do would have been to call the police after the shootings and claim that he felt endangered and was acting in self-defense. That might have earned him some sympathy and support, IMHO.It is premature to judge him IMO. He may have had a reasonable belief his life was in danger prior to the killings.

No one is still missing. A 5th person was invited to join the victims (who had criminal intent) that evening, but he declined. How did he over take 4 men?? i’m in disbelief!

Not while he is a POI.
LE said not “until or unless” he is named s a suspect.
From the above quote and the size of the town, he may be well-known in the area.

Of course without more information, but it does appear that even if a claim of self-defense is made, the horrific manner in which he treated the bodies.. Even if panicked, I can't see doing that instead of calling 911and dealing with the consequences. It is premature to judge him IMO. Could the issue be that he shot them on the adjacent property just before they committed a crime on his property? .... or, could they have been doing something illegal on the adjacent property that upset him?I can definitely see the justified killing 4 people if they were caught committing a burglary and they started to come after the person who caught them. At that point, though, LE should have been called so the dismemberment thing is strange.

Alleged Burglar Shot During Business Break-In Near Schulter
Five people were captured in a manhunt Saturday afternoon south of Okmulgee. A business owner says he shot one of the juveniles breaking into his salvage yard.www.news9.com
I totally agree with you. JK probably knew exactly who was stealing from him and was just waiting to catch them in the act. While I believe people have the right to protect self and property, the way he took it further and "disposed" of their bodies only made things worse for him.IMO, JK killed them because he got tired of them stealing from his business. If so, they were crazy to steal from JK who had shot a burglar in 2012. It's a small town so they surely knew. Sad for the families left to deal with the fallout.
The very best thing to do would have been to call the police and not shoot anyone, IMHO.I agree with both of you that the prudent move would be to call the police afterwards. And he will most likely be charged with tampering/abuse of corpse/ etc.... That would not negate self defense though
