His vehicle was found abandoned behind a business, and he was found driving a stolen car.
I think he just wanted to get as far away from Oklahoma as he could.

Just some thoughts going forward, moo…
IF Joe K. was involved with these horrendous crimes,
IF Joe K. Is found guilty of these terrible incidents,
His life in prison will be very unpleasant, there are numerous gang factions of race, color and religion that will take issue with the perpetrator(s) whom participated in these murders.
The lawyers of anyone found guilty may be better off seeking the death penalty for their client(s).
This is just my opinion, as no one has been named a suspect for these crimes.

Wow, that was quick and unexpected by me.
Just looking at the news on this, first time on WS for this case, Kennedy arrested about a mile from where I am sitting, small world, time to catch up.

Homicide Update from Chief Prentice 10/18/2022:
Joe Kennedy is in custody. He was arrested in a stolen vehicle that was reported stolen to the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office on the 17th. He was arrested in Daytona Beach Shores Florida.
Additionally, a warrant has been issued for his arrest in Okmulgee County District Court on case number CF-2012-28 for Application to Accelerate a Judgement and Sentence he received in relation to a shooting in 2012. The bond for that warrant is $500,000.
The District Attorney and the Sheriff will begin the process of getting Kennedy back to Okmulgee County. The murder investigation is ongoing and investigators continue to follow leads every day. Additional information will be relayed when it is available.

I've been following this thread since I read about the 4 missing men in the national news last week. There are a couple of issues that bother me. First, I certainly understand that the simplest explanation is usually the truth. But if one person shot these 4, how does one person shoot 4 people and keep them under control? One of the guys would've run when the first was shot. If the shooter had a semi-automatic, that would make sense. Those guns spit out so many bullets in a second that it's ridiculous. But JK didn't seem to use a semi-automatic in his 2012 shooting incident--he only got one guy then. Did he "learn his lesson" and buy a "bigger" gun? If it was just one shooter with a rifle or shotgun, the "violent event" appeared to take place near a wooded area based on the news videos of the LE investigating that area. The men could've run into the woods and likely avoided getting shot with the foliage and tree trunks. Again, unless he had a semi-automatic OR he had help. Was someone else involved? And if a semi-automatic was used, would that alone tear off body parts and give the person the idea to dismember the remainder of the bodies? I don't have any experience with semi-autos beyond what I see in movies (and that's not worth much in reality, I'm sure) and the news.
And that leads me to the next issue. It's unlikely the "lick" of stealing scrap metals would be enough for 5 guys to share and be meaningful--unless a couple of hundred each is a lot of money to them. But IF JK was buying catalytic converters illegally and paying cash (pure speculation there), then maybe they planned to steal a safe holding that cash? That would explain the bike trailers if they were going to haul a safe. Does anyone know whether JK kept safes at the salvage yards? Would a bike trailer support a safe? I'm just bothered by a "lick" big enough for 5 men...at a salvage yard. That assumes that they were going to the salvage yard as they told the last people they spoke to. Other criminal enterprises like drugs and trafficking would certainly lead to large sums of money, but I've seen nothing concrete related to those activities in relation to the salvage yard business or these men.

I can't imagine this guy being able to shoot all of them even with a semi-automatic, unless they were indoors or already restrained or someone else involved. The only other option would have been lots of training at the firing range. JK's mug is up and he doesn't appear to physically fit enough to chase all of these guys.
Maybe there were drugs involved? As in the four guys ingested drugs and became incapacitated and easy to kill (Just totally wild speculation and not a likely scenario. However, there is lots of fentanyl out there.)

These sorts of things can be done, like Todd Kohlhepp single-handedly killed 4 people with a pistol at a store he was upset with. I'm thinking with this case in particular a trap might have been set with all this pre-planned. JK might have put out false info - like maybe that he had melted platinum bars from extracted catalytic converters and stored them somewhere. The ones who took the bait set themselves up to be ambushed where instead of find bars they find bullets and are trapped at the location the treasure was supposed to be, like been in an area with only one entrance where JK blocks the exit and shoots once the trap has been sprung.
If JK was the sole perpetrator, I can’t see him managing to shoot all 4 without a semi-automatic. Unless he was a marksman, seems like at least one of the four would have been able to get away. Seems like it would be hard to mortally shoot what would then be 3 men running in probably 3 directions and getting increasingly further away.
But why dismember tbem? Seems like some sort of other illegal activity has to have been involved. If it was a justified shooting, seems like JK would have simply called the police instead of dismembering them. Maybe he panicked? Practically speaking, he likely couldn’t have moved them alone in any other way. And dumping their bodies where they would be pretty easily found looks more like panicking than pre-planning.

I believe they knew something early on and didn't say anything about a poi. I say this because at the end of the press conference when they first discovered objects in the river a reporter asked if the sheriff if he had anything to say to the perp or perps...he answered something to the effect of "I'll know what to say when I see him". So I think they already had there suspect way last week.
A few points to mention...I'm in Tulsa...know Okmulgee well. Lots of poor folks here, addicted to drugs, jobless, riding bikes instead of driving, and to whom even a hundred bucks would be a small fortune. So a lick to them probably wouldn't mean much to other folks.
I feel perp had been stolen from before...he waited for them...and ambushed them.

My thinking is it was similar to road rage and he quickly shot all four, possibly as they were running away, or he heard them breaking in and ambushed them.
Great point! Maybe they were cornered and couldn't run.
I can't wait to hear his side of the story, if he chooses to tell it.
