Wherein Grandma asks people to pray for her because she’s in so much pain with conjunctivitis
Where was the concern for your grandchildren’s suffering?!
Any information on/from this innocent child's biological father or his family?![]()

Does the mother just pop a baby out each year? Can she not be just put on birth control?
I totally agree. This is a total tragedy. Absolutely no oversee on this situation. WTH? These children didn't have a chance. So the parents had no running water, yet were "homeschooling" the children.
OK has devastatingly lax homeschooling laws. They bear some responsibility for this, as well. Those kids didn't have a chance. Who would know what they were going through? Zero mandatory reporters in their orbit, not even a once a year check-up on their education.
MOO
Here we go again.![]()

She was taken out of her school. Legally, parents are required to show the former school where the child is going to be attending. If they do not have a new school, they need to show they are home schooling.Do we know that she was homeschooled? I must have missed it.
If the parents were not worried about having running water or concerned about feces being all over the floor , they probably were not concerned about homeschooling either.Hutson said that doctors, nurses, or teachers typically notice these cases and report them, but since the child was not in school or may have been homeschooled, the pregnancy went unnoticed.
Muskogee County couple faces new sexual abuse charges linked to child neglect case
indicates she was not enrolled in school. She was either being home schooled or withdrawn from school on the PRETENSE that she would be homeschooled. Whether any schooling whatsoever was happening is not known.
That is so irresponsible, imo ===they have 2, 4,6, 7, 9 and 11 year old children, and get pregnant again. There are a couple of toddlers 2,4, 6, 7 & 9 year old, the 11 year old was the oldest. The ages were originally listed in the lead article.
There are virtually none in OK. They do not have to notify anyone or anything. She was taken out of her school. Legally, parents are required to show the former school where the child is going to be attending. If they do not have a new school, they need to show they are home schooling.
But some states do not require any evidence that home schooling is actually taking place. Which is a shame. There should be some requirements. Quarterly testing and check ins?
I think it is important to have some accountability. For anyone interested, Coalition for Responsible Home Education is founded and run by former homeschoolers, most of whom had good experiences, who advocate for better oversight and accountability. If you'd like to do something after reading these stories, please check them out and think about supporting them.
Here we go again.
imo
"Cheryl Adkins lives next to the house where the 11-year-old lived. She said the children were exposed to unstable and unsanitary conditions.
“They have no running water for the last two or three years," she said. "They have dogs in the house. They have cats in the house, six children.”
She said she made several calls to police and authorities to check on the children and is scared that help arrived too late."
They have charged social workers in a couple cases I’ve followed. AJ Freund (sp) comes to mind. That was such a heartbreaking case, I don’t even want to say what his Mom did to him.System doesn’t change until the people failing are in jail. If we started charging caseworkers/lawyers/judges with murder, child abuse etc then I bet things start changing

Very true.Statistics for the amount of children abused in a homeschool setting vs by a peer or teacher would be good data to have to support a change. Virtually impossible to get.
Grandma's FB alludes to a few topics we have been wondering about.
Blaming the pets for the disgusting condition of the home and blaming a 12-year-old child for impregnating a 10- or 11-year old child. I guess that she was going to find some random 12-year-old to pin it on. Plus, who finds it believable that she didn't notice the pregnancy, either. Yeah....right.![]()

This "grandmother" is a real piece of work. I am glad she was charged, because the outrageous things she says are disgusting.
"They've made my daughter and my son-in-law a monster," she said. "They are not. They love those children. They love them.".
Yeah. The DNA test of the baby is evidence that the son-in-law, is definitely a "Monster".
"In terms of the conditions in the house, Michelle said it has to do with the pets."
Seriously? A house without running water, and feces all over, is blamed on "pets"? Domesticated pets depend on responsible owners to provide training, and appropriate places for their needs.
Cuff Grandma, STAT!
