The Sheriffs Office is requesting the public’s assistance. Nancy Davis is endangered and missing. Nancy has to have medication and recently had a stroke. Nancy was last seen last night at the Grand Casino and then spoke with her husband around 11pm after she drove off the road way and got stuck at the intersection of Old Hwy 99 and EW1240 rd.

We located her vehicle at the intersection but there is no sign of Nancy. If you know her whereabouts or have any information please call 4052575445 or click the call now button. Please help us bring Nancy home to her husband.

Nancy is described as- 55 year old female,
5’ 6”, 140 lbs, brown hair, and green eyes.

Last seen wearing an Orange or red Shawl over a long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and purple glasses.

This is very concerning. Hopefully Nancy is somewhere safe.

Oh no - where could she be? I just checked the weather out there and the report right now says it's only 28 degrees fahrenheit with a windchill of 19 degrees fahrenheit. Today's low was at 5:55 AM at 7 degrees fahrenheit! I doubt that the red poncho she was last wearing is warm enough for that.

Here's an update. It looks like she walked (shuffled) away from her vehicle in the snow. Her pills and one of her dogs were found. Unfortunately, ponchos are typically designed as a rain cover and NOT for warmth. Without shelter, those kinds of temperatures would not be survivable for most people. LE has made a couple comments under their post.
•LE along with Christian Aid Ministries Search & Rescue are out searching again today, however there has been no leads concerning her whereabouts since Thursday.
•There was about a 5 hour time frame between LE finding her vehicle & her calling her husband.

I'm confused if she called her husband as she was leaving the casino or if it was after she went off the road?

I wonder if she won at the casino and possibly someone following her. Also, how far is the casino from where she lives?

Seminole County woman missing after running vehicle off road

Updated article
LE said the 55-year-old took her dogs with her on an errand late Thursday night, but drove her white car off Highway 99 while heading home.

Palmer said after Davis’ car got stuck, she stepped out and started walking. The sleet and snow helped investigators retrace her steps.

“She’s not walking at a brisk pace,” said Palmer. “She’s more shufflin’ her feet.”

“She’s wearing a bright orange or red poncho. You’d think that she would stand out,” said Palmer.

Investigators said they spent around 15 hours searching for Davis in the area close to her car.

The tracks circled around eventually disappearing near the side of the road.

The tracks disappeared near the side of the road…did she get into a car?

I'm wondering the same thing. The earlier posts imply that Nancy was not walking fast, and the statement that her tracks "circled around eventually disappearing near the side of the road" would logically suggest that she may have accepted a ride by a passing vehicle.

There's no evidence that Nancy was picked up along the road, however the lack of other tracks, and no results from the searches near her car would make that a good possibility.

At this time it's unclear whether Nancy accepted a ride from a passing vehicle, but it's quite possible since her tracks went to the road, then stopped. Repeated searches in the area near her car found nothing. Unfortunately, if she did accept a ride then it's possible she may not be in that local area.

Hoping she is found safe.

I mean in no way to disparage anyone, but I’m just curious why her husband didn’t drive to where she ran off the road when she called him? Could be multiple reasons, maybe he doesn’t drive, etc., but I would think that would be what would happen. Unless she said she was calling for a tow truck, etc. I know even if I’d called for help I’d still want my husband to come to where I was immediately in case the car was too damaged to drive or whatever.

I’m also confused about the casino vs taking the dogs to run some errands? Is it just bad reporting? I need to go back and reread the articles I guess. I know one of them said one of the dogs was found, where’s the other? Any dog tracks in the snow?

Why was it 5 hours between when she called her husband until LE went looking? So many questions.

Good point @Limecat . We don't have much information about her husband AFAIK.

Based on MSM reports Nancy recently had a stroke and was on medication, so she likely couldn't walk very far. LE reported that her footprints suggested she was walking slowly and "shuffling". LE searches and drones didn't find her anywhere near her vehicle, so that, plus the fact that her tracks stopped along the road, would indicate the most likely option is that she accepted a ride. If that's true, then Nancy could be anywhere.

I can't see this FB page but are there any comments from friends and family there that might offer some clues?

Since it’s FB I don’t want to violate any TOS, so I’ll self-report, but IIRC it said that her husband was working at the casino and went there to take him some of his meds, so that makes more sense I guess? I’m praying someone picked her up and she’s safe but maybe confused enough that she can’t help anyone get her home? It’s a long shot I know, but the footprints do seem to indicate maybe she was picked up and given a ride. Of course sadly we all know that’s a huge risk for anyone, much less someone vulnerable.

Seminole County Sheriffs Office
** UPDATE ** We have been in the area that Nancy was last thought to be multiple times this week with Drones, on Foot, Using dogs (cadaver and live tracking) and have walked the area again but still have not located Nancy. The Sheriffs Office is following up on information as we receive it but unfortunately all the info we have received at this time has not lead us to her location. we still ask if you know anything that you think might be helpful please call us. We are not overlooking any information we receive.

I hope they find her soon.

Thank you @AC's Grandma for this update.

We know LE has searched the immediate area where Nancy's car was found multiple times, on foot, with tracking dogs, drones, etc. but so far there's no sign of her. The most likely scenario is that Nancy is not in the area where LE is searching. Unfortunately at this time we don't know where else to search.

With her recent health problems and the weather at the time, it doesn't seem logical Nancy could have walked very far from her car. Combine this with the fact that LE indicated her tracks stopped near the road would indicate someone likely gave her a ride.

Was her phone located in the car or somewhere nearby, or is there a chance Nancy has her phone with her?

The search continues for Nancy Davis, who went missing last week. Investigators believe that Davis drove off the icy roads near Highway 377.

The Sheriff’s Office is now waiting on court-ordered phone records.

"We feel pretty comfortable that she's not here," said J.T. Palmer, an investigator for Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

So sad. I wonder if she hit her head when she went off the road, causing additional confusion. The doggies are missing also?? I also worry if she was dropped off somewhere after getting a ride, she might not be able to say who she is or where she needs to be, and just looks homeless, meaning overlooked by most. Sad, sad.
