I see a resemblance between Patricia and the Jane Doe, however, since DNA for both MP and UP are in the system, I'm thinking this would have matched already. The only real way to find out is to contact someone at NamUs and ask, though.

I came across Slidell County Jane Doe. The timeline is similar and she is noted to have Auburn hair, freckles and a circular scar on her knee.

I hope this helps her family, sending well wishes to all of them.

Thanks for the anniversary reminder, Shadow. Of all the missing persons cases, I have the most hope for Patricia. She appeared to be a strong, resourceful, independent and street smart young woman. I'm hoping she's out there, somewhere, living her life and just doesn't realize her family is looking for her.

We really would have no way of knowing, the match was submitted months ago, and NamUs won't tell us anymore.

Mods, is there anyway we can please update information of the title of this thread? I believe a more solid missing date of 08/31/1981 has more or less been confirmed by her family, and was posted as that date on her missing person billboard. Thank you.

NamUs has it listed as 8/1/81. Looks like it should at least be changed to August of 81.

I think her family may be going by what's noted in DHHS records. I double checked her FB page, and 08/31/1981 is the date on her billboard. I'm thinking her sister just hasn't had updated NamUs with it. But either way, I'm hoping mods will at least change the title to Aug. 1981, as you said, for better accuracy.
