I agree with this 100% - One thing we see is that families are at a COMPLETE LOSS when in this situation - the REALITY IS that the ones responsible for doing most of the searching (unless you have fame or celebrity) IS THE FAMILY. You guys seem very very smart about all this, and i'm sure you already know how m=bad it is but the family has to learn to be a search team - AND FAST. They have to learn to investigate and get resourceful and hope to heck they have enough common sense to problem solve their way through it -- I'd like to see the stats on how often its the family who locates the vehicles or worse in a case - What I would very much like to do is create a handbook - tips and tricks for the family to help them put their resources to work for them. I think you brilliant sleuths may be able to help me with this. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda blown away to see our team actually posted on here! You are very much on top of these, and I would like to talk to whoever I need to to possibly be able to get some private assistance on specific cases - is that out of line to request? - Thanks for all you guys do!! -- Julie Bridging the Gap
Good to see you here, Julie! I love the idea of a guide for these families. They are at a loss of what to do because the emotional devastation takes precedence over the practical applications to move through it all. I think they do well to put one foot in front of the other and keep their heads up. If there is anything I can do to help, I would be glad to assist you.

It is difficult for people to follow these cases, especially local, and not feel a call to action. Your team is the perfect way to do something effective and be part of the solution for bringing these people home. Shandram19 is a great ally and smart as a whip. Probably should keep that one around for awhile.

You keep up the great work and know that Cody and Ben are with you every step of the way. They certainly left a legacy beyond their years and what could ever have been expected because of people like you who carry them on your shoulders as you serve others. Thank you, Julie.

Welcome to websleuths!

I can try to help in whatever way I can to help find lost ones, but I don't have a resource on hand that can provide too much guidance. I do, however, have useful material for the justice route of the case. In the event that foul play is suspected and the lost is not found, the case could turn into a 'no body' murder case. A no body murder case is not the optimal situation you want to be in, but if the case does take that route, it is best to be prepared.

No body murder cases are very difficult to charge and convict, but it can be done. Chris Ross, a local Oklahoma DA, has been involved in several no body murder charges and has turned into a resident expert on the subject. Law enforcement entities from other states will bring him in for advice and assistance.

A few years ago, he wrote a guide for Law Enforcement and investigative officials on strategies for no body murder cases[1]. Now since this document is directed towards Law Enforcement and investigative officials, it is a little dense, but the information can be beneficial to families that may want to help build a case to bring justice to their lost one. It goes over all of the important aspects of building a no body murder case, such as legislation history, information to gather, what resources to tap into, and much more. It even uses the Logan Tucker case as an example.

we were JUST talking about this!!! This being a small town and with the suspect being a lifetime local with knowledge of area and many "good ole buddies" willing to help, finding a way to be sure a body is never found is a likely scenario - I would like to think I am wrong and I hope I am, but in the event this is how it progresses I would like to think the OSBI and McIntosh county are thorough enough to still deliver a conviction. I did see someone earlier had asked about pigs - plenty of those around. This case haunts me. Betty, Peggys mom needs to be able to wrap her troubled self around some peace - AND SOON. Thanks for posting this!

AWESOME!!! Thank you!! Thanks for the kind words :) Thank YOU ALL for taking the time to care about all these folks - you are truly amazing in my book. Very impressed with your insight and how thorough you guys are. I remember seeing a pic way back of our search map - you guys had taken it from the news stroy and blown it up to see what routes we had searched! I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Super sleuths! I am truly honored to be a part of your community :)

Thank u so much!!! Wow y'all make me feel so at home here!! I TOTALLY agree on Shandram - I had actually made notes from a couple posts :) You guys are pretty accurate from what I've seen, and I can tell u -- we've had probably a dozen news stories in last few months -- NOT ONE has gotten ALL the facts right -- its nice to see folks who appreciate ACCURACY. How refreshing!

Hello all! This is my first post, I just went through every page to see what all has been presented...my heart breaks for that poor boy. I live about 40 miles west of this town and find am following the FB page as well. What I find odd-in addition to the complete lack of information coming from ANYONE-is that there seems to be no mention of the biggest thing in Eufaula-the lake. It is one of the biggest in Oklahoma, its deep, its merky, and its way above level right now. I saw on my personal page that there were divers out looking for her, but I don't know to what extent. Eufaula is also right on I-40, which is a major sex trafficking hub...I hope they find her soon or at least have someone they can prove is responsible. Promise me this fellow websleuths, should I turn up missing out of Eufaula-CHECK THAT LAKE!! Cody and Ben were found in the water after levels went down, but it took a while and they were still in their van. We have had record flood levels this year, there is no telling what is hiding in that lake. Just a thought, hopefully investigators have taken appropriate measures where it is concerned.

Hi! Welcome!
You mentioned the suspect being a lifetime local.
Is this mentioned in MSM (who the suspect is,) so that we can talk about the suspect?

I thought about Lake Eufaula as well.

Great first post and ideas, it's nice to have somebody local. Welcome to the group!

SeriouslySearching, thanks for the kind words and recommendations it's very much appreciated. Also I wanted to thank you for thinking of me when any OK cases come up.

btgJulieP I've actually had a few conversations with you via Facebook messenger, you can probably figure out who I am based on my screen name shandram19. I'm glad to hear some of my work has been useful to you. Anything you need feel free to contact me. At one point you gave me a btg "role" but I've never been "activated." You should have all of my contact information via Facebook messenger, and through your website. So anytime you need anything at all, let me know. I'm more than willing to help! Still waiting on that btg sticker to come in the mail ;-)
Most of all thanks for joining us here and giving whatever input that you're allowed to give! I tried getting in touch with you during the search for brenner, sent some pics from my private search, was hoping to meet up with you guys out there but nobody ever called. So I did the searching on my own. I was a block away from where he was located that day. :-(

Who am I? I am that tiny voice in the back of your mind which encourages you to be who you choose to be as long as you are truthful to yourself. I am that tiny voice in the back of your mind that encourages you to reach higher. I am that tiny voice in the back of your mind that makes you understand that you are a survivor...that you are important...that you matter.

Welcome to WS, Shaspe!

I was hoping with the heavy rains, it would turn up something. Sometimes when the water churns, it loosens a body snagged on brush or under rocks. While it seems counter-intuitive to want the levels to rise at times, this can be instrumental in finding those left in the water or even in dry areas where run-off could carry them to a more populated place.

I am a firm believer after following these cases for almost 10 years, every missing person has a time to come home and it is strange sometimes how things happen. It is like all roads lead to that one moment.

I promise if you go missing on my watch...we will have a team out there looking for you!

Another day without news of Peggy. Where are you, beautiful girl? Your family is waiting. Come home.

I'm still amazed that it is taking so long, but then I suppose it is going to take 2-3 months before LE gets the lab results on what they obtained from the searches.

It may take a while. no body murder cases are tough. You really need a strong case to file a charge against someone. In the Logan Tucker case, it took 4 years for a charge and 1 more of a conviction. But I suppose it could be faster with 15 years of technology advancement and better evidence.

Logan's case was unusual in many ways. Very tragic situation.

This case doesn't appear to me to be as difficult. They have a good idea where different people were at certain points in time including Peggy. This narrows the window of time and area to cover. I believe phone pings are going to be very instrumental in bringing Peggy home eventually. The perp messed up more than once already. I think LE will get a break because of something else he did or did not do to cover up this crime.
