IF that were true, she may have stuck around in order to provide a better standard of living for herself and her son or perhaps there was some sort of emotional attachment.

Maybe I am just naive little boy..... but it's hard for me to sympathize with the missing in this case given the information presented thus far. Bottom line: If there is abuse, you gotta get out. Don't risk it.

I am also saddened to hear about the abusive relationships that my fellow WS'ers have been in.

I think it goes deeper than this.

I did not stay in an abusive relationship.

I understand when you say you are struggling to understand that she still lived with him afterwards.

Unfortunately, despite what makes sense for us, I believe there are others, clearly, that are immersed in a relationship and are

fearful to leave. Maybe they don't have much self esteem, maybe they stayed for whatever their own personal reasons were,

as we aren't privy to everything that goes on in an abusive relationship or relationship.

I have sympathy for women that stay in an abusive relationship, because whatever they were/are facing, clearly is an issue to them and for them. That is compassion, for me.

Everyone reacts differently. I chose to leave. That is my personality. For whatever other people's reasons are, they are valid reasons to them at the time.

YES! A woman should get out of an abusive relationship. And on that same note, they might be scared to death to do so, and

maybe rightly so. Some men do murder their girlfriends/wives, after they leave, and sometimes when they don't leave!

I understand your right to an opinion and here is mine. I lived in a six bedroom, five bathroom 3,400 sq foot home. Drove a $60,000 car and "hung" out with the elite of Dallas county. When we were at charity events and in public it was glitter and diamonds and this "perfect" life. When we got home, if I had not sipped exactly enough champagne or if I had sipped to much, or if I didn't shake enough hands or if someone spoke to me for to long (you get the point) I got the living tar beat out of me. I did everything I could think of to leave and not hurt my kids. I am willing to bet you anything in this world Peggy was trying and wanting to do what she could to get out. I bet you she didn't stay just to have this man beat her, and potentially kill her. I had the full financial means to leave with my two kids when I wanted to, but guess what I also knew my ex had the ability to find me and permanently take me away from them. So I had to do it the RIGHT way!!

So yes, your opinion and thoughts are just as valid as mine and anyone else's but here's just a different side. Perhaps she was trying to do it right so this exact situation didn't happen.

Thank you for sharing your story. It looks like you were in a pretty prestigious situation, but had to suffer through a lot of pain. I'm sorry that this occurred to you. I don't fully understand your situation so I won't play captain hindsight here.

Again, I'll agree to disagree here in order to prevent a tangent argument. I respect your opinion.

Despite on these posts on abusive stories, I promise you that there are plenty of good men out there. Personally, I was raised to respect women and that was handed down throughout my extended family. If I had so much put an undesired hand on a woman, my dad would find me and kick my 🤬🤬🤬. I had several friends with similar principals.

That's just the unfortunate part the protective order is just a piece of paper at the end Of the day. She tried as far as I can tell to go the right way about getting help and was still unable to get out. (Or so it seems) blessings to her family for sure.

I didn't elaborate on my story simply because this is about Peggy, however did include enough for you to hopefully understand that no matter what women may seem like they are staying for, and may seem like reasons that are monetary etc. might not be the case at all.

Warrant results produce leads in search for missing McIntosh County woman

Quick facts:

• Investigators have released the results of multiple search warrants in the search for Peggy McGuire.

• Results of the warrants showed blood-like stains.

• Investigators are following leads.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released the results of multiple search warrants in the search for Peggy McGuire.

McGuire, 28, disappeared from McIntosh County last November.

This protective order was in 2006. 10 years of abuse.

Peggy was just a teenager then. She got her nursing degree recently, probably so that she could break away and raise their son independently of Thomas.

I just watched that news report and she teased with another report about the protective orders. I am so frustrated with the coverage on this. We knew about the blood months ago, the news about the protective orders broke last week; why in the WORLD are these news people not asking more difficult questions and getting better answers? Does true investigative reporting just not exist anymore? Glad to see people are talking about it on TV but lord, its like they are just going through the motions. Every time I see a story on my feed about remains being found my first thought is of Peggy. I hope she is found soon and I hope the person responsible is brought to justice but it is evident that the case won't be solved by a reporter.

The reason is legal. All they have so far is circumstantial, and until they find Peggy or something breaks, it is on the edge of crossing the line. Frustrating for sure.

If school let out at 2pm, her killer had just about 5 hours to do the deed and hide her.

The Ruger SP101 .357 caliber revolver and cartridge was not the murder weapon, or it would have been disposed of.

I'm more interested on the "red stains" on the couch, and porch steps, and yellow glove.

Here is the link to the latest story, at the end they mention that her pistol that she carried everywhere was also missing. Most women I know who carry don't make it known, but you know who would have known? The man living in her house. I also find it odd that accusations of him having "connections" due to his last name and the county name are still flying but no one seems to know what the deal is...if he were that well off, would he have been living in her house while they were no longer together? His family may have pull, but he sounds like a bum. They said there were stains on the inside of a a tractor bucket, perfectly large enough to hold a body, I wonder if anyone in the community recalls seeing a tractor out and about, though I know its a common occurrence for the area. That and her 80 acres is plenty big enough for someone to have used the tractor and not been seen I suppose. There are tons of wells in Oklahoma, lots of abandoned ones as well. The tank batteries and salt water barrels are huge, I hope investigators have considered this and checked them out. I think the ex was in that line of work from the looks of his linked in page (I think this is his page below), he would certainly know his way around a well site. Just brainstorming, anything that might help needs to be put out there.

Let's hope things are starting to rumble a bit...

Do we know where McIntosh is? It would prolly be good, IMO, for LE to speak with him again, if he will. He may remember something that he did not tell them initially -- if he did speak with them. I can't remember, due to my CRS... Maybe LE has already started re-interviewing folks. Sometimes it is very helpful. Just thinkin'...

I was hoping when I saw the headlines that OSBI releases documents that we'd learn some of the test results. But it was already announced that they had the Ruger .357 and the bloodstains on the glove and the bucket. I can't really complain though if it gives the media another chance to keep the light on this case.

I didn't know Peggy's gun, that she always had with her, was missing. That would seem to be a likely murder weapon. I can't remember if her purse is missing as that might have been where she carried it. And, you're right, except that ANYONE that I know that carries a gun doesn't usually make it known. Except to two or three very close friends and select family members. And it would be hard to hide it from the man she lives with in her house.
