I am still alive (at least I was last time I checked). I have been taking a sabbatical from the SM forum and concentrating on the Anna Waters search - I am working on finishing my portion of a book with Anna's mother concerning her search for her daughter. We are currently hoping to have it available by the end of this year.

My source on the information about a possible DNA match was Poppypetals/Hollow. Her more recent posts (before being banished - again) indicated less confidence that a match had actually occured. The alledged preliminary match was between Sharon and Lori Peugout. I am not aware if an actual final determination has been made concerning the test. Since all of the above information came through a person who has described herself as a "drama queen", at this point I have no idea how much was true, false or some grey area in-between.


Someone may want to contact Matt Birkbeck for a more current update. Matt has historically been the focal point for dissemination of information about Sharon, but, like the rest of us, he has burned by Hollow and may not be as willing to be involved as he was before.
 
Has anyone thought about getting a well known medium to help in this case. The women who the TV show "Medium" is based on seems to be well known as well as others with certain abilities. Maybe someone has a connection they could use to get one of the mediums to help.

Gosh, I hope this is not true. Please let Matt not be deterred in his efforts on the part of Sharon by whatever has occured with Hollow. This is all about giving Sharon back her ID and to her rightful family. I pray that focus has not been overshadowed by petty nonsense. Thank you for the info Dr. Doogie.

Hello all....as you can see I've never posted here; I'm a fairly new member but I have read here quite a bit. I prefer to keep the sleuthing to the people who actually know how to do it....and that isn't me.

I did email Mr. Birkbeck yesterday, and here is the response I got:

As for Sharon, we have a lead out of North Carolina and the National Center is checking it out. I'm awaiting a response.

Hi fragile and welcome to websleuths! I'm glad you emailed Birkbeck and got a response! I am very curious to hear about the possible lead! I hope he comes back to post here when he can.
 
To my knowledge, the Peugoet family has not received the DNA results yet, however I had a forensic artist do a age progression of Lori Peugeot and she looks nothing like Sharon. I thought I'd posted the drawings here. I will post them but first let me get permission from Lori's relatives. I'm sure it will be ok, I'll just feel better getting approval first.
 
I am so glad to hear what Matt is saying, hopefully this will be the end of the quest to find Sharons name.

As far as Hollow goes, I dont give her enough credit to be able to solve the mystery of where her car keys are much less this case. I think Matt will be the one that ultimately uncovers the truth.
 
I am not going to defend Hollow and her actions concerning the re:Sharon Marshall case....I feel sorry for her !
Floyd it seems to me has claimed another innocent victim,Hollow writing to him has I believe effected her ability to process information....and make decisions...
Hollow most likely started out in searching for the identity and truth with good intentions..........finding the grade School that Little Sharon attended and acquired other information seems to possible have come from the Floyd..
her rush to be the ONE....

The most frustrating thing about Hollow/Poppypetals/Starless is that her contribution to the search has been very valuable. She has a tenacity that is admirable. It is the baggage that comes with it that is so destructive. So sad...
 
I can't find anything about FDF on there and the message board looks to be overrun with spam, but the articles were interesting nonetheless.

Don't know if FDF would write something on there, but if what I read is true perhaps when he's closer to his date with destiny he will spill the beans about Sharon's true identity and origin, Michael's whearabouts, and the other crimes he is accused of committing (i.e. Cheryl).

Anyway, I thought of another theory in this case...could Sharon be from Utah? FDF claimed he painted a Mormon Tabernacle but I read this could be a lie. Perhaps he made the story up to cover up the abduction, and maybe Sharon was really a Mormon woman's daughter born out of wedlock who he had to take so she could cover things up after the years of service that all Mormons are required to have. (You're not allowed to even date during that time period...I believe it's something like 2 years where you've got to serve the church with something like door-to-door recruitment).
 
Hi, I've been reading this thread for quite some time, but never registered because it wouldn't take my normal email (a hotmail account). However, now I'm using a bellsouth account so viola! here I am!

Background: I live in the southern atlanta area, not far from the area that Sharon lived in during her high school years. This case fascinates me, probably because it occurred geographically right in my backyard and also because it is such an unusual case. Doogie, I'm the person who emailed you the info awhile back regarding a possible lead from the north georgia/north carolina area - hopefully the possibility Matt Birkbeck is checking out.

Hi Cass ~ Nice to see you! I don't post here often but I've read the entire archived forum and last couple of threads pertaining to this case. It haunts me that this young woman was forced to live the life she had with Floyd and that, even after her death, he withholds her true identity. Just further victimization - and it makes me angry!

Yeah. Many years ago my dad drove me past that jail that Floyd and Couey are in right now. I must've been like 7 or 8. He pointed to the place and he said "There are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddd people in there" I was scarred for life. I ducked and couldnt get it out of my head. After that, everytime I saw a cop car pass by us (while we were in the car) I would duck so the baaaaddd people in the back of the cop cars wouldnt see me and come after me. I did that until I was like 12 or so. :rolleyes:

I just found this and the area for FDF
1973 The 6 members of the Alday family were killed on their farm during a robbery in southwest Georgia. In 2003 Carl Isaacs (49) was executed for his role in the killings.
