I agree they sure do look like each other. Cheryl's age progression photo looks like sharon - to a tee. DNA ruled her out ..... but a poster on the "A Beautiful Child" facebook site states that sharon told him she was Cheryl Hanson. He also states that DNA would not have worked because Cheryl's parents used a surogate. Which would make sense for the no match. I wonder if it is true. The question is why would Cheryl's family give DNA that they knew would not match. Surely someone knew if they had a surogate. Hmmm maybe they didnt know. If so then how would he know. He says they are related.

So is NCMEC not willing to do the DNA testing since they say they have already tested Jerri's mother? I would be really surprised if Rhonda is not a match for Sharon. The resemblances to the pictures I have seen to Jerri's family members for both Sharon and Michael are just uncanny. Plus, I live in Houston where we had the AWFUL DNA crime lab, and from that, I know that DNA matching can be bungled. After all, DNA techs and police are human beings, and human beings make mistakes.

i saw the posting to i posted on facebook and asked him to email matt himself if what he saying is true then there could be all sorts of new info to research and look at. but at the same time could sharon have been coached by someone to say she was hanson to throw someone off course?

i sent matt an email on facebook with the posters name he may or may not look into it

If they tested Sharon to your mother, were they able to then officially rule Sharon out as Rhonda? What did they say about the test with your mother?

Craziness!!! How much does this type of testing cost? I'd certainly kick in some bucks for it.

Jerri - Would they still have a copy of the results from that comparison between your mother and Sharon? It would be interesting if they can track the paperwork versus just notes in a file somewhere. I'd also be curious to know what paperwork is available to verify your moms submitting DNA. There should be a paper trail for the collection of her DNA too, no?

A print out is made after testing for both it has Markers that are then read by a Specialist ....and maybe kept on file ...there are centers that house Codes
one is in Parish Louisiana.....NCMEC uses 16 Marker test...other DNA labs use 12.
There is the CDC that does testing less then one might think depending on what kind of testing....the person can ask for re:AKA: Sharons DNA for personal testing....
The NCMEC is Donation Funded ....(Wait in turn) reason the testing takes so long....
However Sharon's was tested against a Female Child and it was proven positive ! or so I am told....
The DNA for Sharon came from the center that did the Harvesting which was contacted by Gery Nance from the NCMEC.....then that was years ago....
I think the question should be ...Who's did they (NCMEC) test against....
I recall Matt said that the girls DNA was entered into Codes ?
Micheal's DNA was gathered in Oklahoma when Floyd tried to clam parenting.
The Oklahoma PD said that they had Hair and Blood from re:AKA Sharon Marshall.
Oklahoma PD still clam to know who AKA:Sharon Marshall is.....?
I guess it depends on whom you believe !
Personally I do not believe that they have Sharon Marshall DNA and the Harvesting DNA was of someone else unidentified person....

Who was tested against WHOM ? maybe someone should test Micheal's against Sharon's
