Somehow I don't feel as though that reconstruction is particularly flattering.

I’m currently asking around some local MS contacts who are close to this case... The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) (Jon Estes), to see if he’s a possibility. The tattoos and time frame are the only discrepancies, however, it is unclear exactly what tattoos Jon had and most of the photos of him are not recent. It’s also not completely out of the realm of possibility that Jon could have been alive since his disappearance. It’s a long shot, but the recons actually remind me a lot of Jon. His case is shrouded in mystery and unanswered questions, to say the least. I’ll update with the info I’m able to come up with... thanks for creating this one YaYa! :)
ETA: most of the details of Jon’s case can be found on his Facebook page: Find Jonathan Paul Estes

there’s one photo (a gym selfie) which shows one of his upper arm - no tattoos - but there’s not an exact date in which it was taken. FWIW

No mention of tattoos, but everything else seems to fit.
Wow they look so similar! I'm from Oklahoma, and Altus is not that far from OKC. Only two hours or so, depending on which side of OKC that you are headed towards. Since there is no PMI on John Doe, but they could still tell his eye color, the 27th to the 6th is very possible. I found more pictures of Tim L. The interesting nose and eye shape, and hairline really are close.

UPDATE: A fingerprint comparison has been done by the OSBI Crime Lab and Timothy Don Lucas is not the OKC Cleveland Co. John Doe.

This information is according to Altus Police Department.

Good to know that they have John Doe's prints, though.

However, his NAMUS page seems to be down for me.

Hello everyone, i opened his NAMUS but it was down, i think this has been happening for a while. It's possible that he has been ID.
