Found Deceased Olivia 5, Evelyn 8 & Paityn Decker 9, Endangered Alert, visitation w/ homeless dad Travis Decker 32, wh 2017 GMC Sierra PU, Wenatchee, 30 May 2025

they went to court sometime after july 25/2024 to address some concerns and modify the parenting plan, Travis agreed to child support but said he couldnt pay at the moment.
he didnt want to lose access time with shortened visits and no overnights
He objected because he thought " it was important for the children to understand how they could learn from his current condition"
wonder what he wanted them to learn? camping skills? or was he going to show them how much he is suffering because of.... ( and gaslight whitney)
so if he isnt dead, or even if he is, why is it so hard to find him? Makes me wonder if hes doing this on purpose (hiding) because he wants people to see him "look at me this is what happens when... like he wants to teach a lesson just like he wanted the girls to learn from his situation.
From his perspective he thinks... this is what happen's when,,,, and not take any accountability and instead gaslight, I bet he thinks hes the victim.

I wonder whether the searchers are remembering to look up into the trees?

Trying to rationalize why his body wasn't found with the girls and perhaps he couldn't off himself in the same manner.
Is there somewhere nearby that is high enough he could throw himself into the water to unalive himself?
Thats what Im wondering, why would he try to stay alive? What purpose would it serve? He has to know the end of this game.

If he is suicidal, he may be wanting a situation of suicide by cop, rather than committing suicide on his own. That would certainly make him very dangerous to law enforcement officers who are pursuing him.

This is such a tragedy. A mom who loved her children and her estranged ex-husband and believed that the love he had for his children provided a protection to them because to think the alternative was unimaginable. She believed allowing unsupervised visits kept the communication open and didn't want to be that person who denied her children access to their dad out of spite.

And I think it worked up to a certain point. But as kids get older, they recognize that the situation is abnormal because their dad doesn't live in a house or apartment, he camps or stays in motels or even worse in his vehicle. So I see maybe the older daughter complaining about being driven about and wanting to go home while the younger ones may have seen it as an adventure.

I want to believe he snapped but I know that's not true because he came prepared with zip ties and plastic bags. I want to believe he felt remorse over his actions and acknowledge that remorse by laying them down gently removing the plastic bags that suffocated them but I know that's not true because he dumped them over a steep embankment to rest hundreds of feet from the vehicle. I'm interested in where he killed them. Was it at the location where they were found or did he do somewhere else? And if it was somewhere else? Where?

I want to believe he's dead, overcome by guilt and despair, but I think his body would have been found by now if he committed suicide.

On Google earth it states the park is temporarily closed but that would have been after they found the girls. Depending on when he murdered them he could have had at least two days to be in the wind. Or two days to find an isolated spot miles and miles away and kill himself there.

If he isn't dead how far could he have gotten on foot? Could he have hitched a ride with a good Samaritan and commandeered the vehicle? Or just driven with them far enough so the driver wouldn't have thought him suspicious. But what about the blood left on the exterior of his truck? Was it his blood? He probably had clothes in his own vehicle he could have changed into. If he took another person's vehicle are there any recent missing persons from the area?

As an active military member in the NG would he be allowed having weapons after being diagnosed with mental health issues? I know I've read several times how difficult it is for military members to have to give up their arms. Esteban Santiago who shot and killed several people in the Fort Lauderdale airport in 2017 had informed his superior officers in Alaska of his deteriorating mental health and his disturbing thoughts about killing but no one was interested in taking his weapons from him. I also read a veterans news site re the hoops they had to through to take weapons away from mentally disturbed individuals who are more likely to kill themselves than others. Unfortunately, in the US weapons are easily available.

One thing I've noticed about TD's physical appearance is that he looks like he may be aboriginal and wondered whether if he is, if he's made his way to one of many First Nation Reserves in Washington State. There are many reserves in the general area closer to the coast. I've read that some aboriginals or Indians which is how the majority of First Nations here in Canada refer to themselves, seek out protection against LE on reserve land depending on the crime. However, the cold-blooded murder of three little girls, his OWN children would probably be reason enough for someone to blow the whistle on him. This is my speculation only.

The mom's journey to peace, if that's even possible, can only start when she knows where he is and if he's alive. I hope for her sake he is not and that finding him dead will at least close one chapter of her nightmare. MOO IMO
When I was in the army, we rarely ever had access to "weapons." We'd go to the shooting range once a year to qualify. It was all tightly controlled.

Assume he wasn't officially diagnosed with mental health issues. He was a weekend warrior, once a month, at that point and had not shown up for drills, so he was on his way out. I wonder why he did that? It was some money and benefits.

That area along Eight Mile had to have been packed with people. We camped there decades ago and there was lots of people, nearly packed, and that was during the week. It had to have been crawling with people.

A lot of military training is cosplay. Only speaking from experience. As for wilderness survival training, anyone can pick that up in a book. You learn to eat bugs and anything you can find. Again, based on my time in the army. Most people in the army can't tell the difference between friendly and enemy planes and tanks and such.

I think he either went to stay with someone far away or he took care of himself. The blood on truck is odd. Maybe he cut himself intently.

Suppose he told his dog to "stay" and the dog stayed (in the area).

And its hard to search the woods and find people and animals. Hope there is a resolution soon.

At one time Decker was full-time National Guard. Do the receive the same training as Rangers? Thanks.

He was in the National Guard after his Army service.

"Travis Decker is a former Army soldier. Decker, 32, joined the Army in 2013 and transferred to the Washington National Guard in 2021, according to a spokesperson with the Washington Military Department. He was a full-time member of the National Guard until he reportedly switched to part-time around 2023 to 2024. Washington Military Department spokesperson Karina Shagren told the Associated Press that Decker had stopped attending mandatory monthly drills roughly one year ago."

When did they get divorced,? and when did he move out?
After July 2024, ( I only know the court date was after some visits in JulY 2024) he did tell the judge at a court hearing for the parenting plan, that he is now part time and can spend more time with the girls.
he may have had BPD, but I find it difficult to believe thats what drove this, he was also a very high achiever. seems to me its the divorce he couldnt handle. That probably broke him more than anything.

again the source is from the hidden true crime clip.
its a good 20 min show with some good info I have not heard anywhere else.

Travis Decker was assigned to JBLM between 2014 and 2016 as an automatic rifleman in the 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, according to U.S. Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Ruth Castro.
He was an infantryman in the regular Army between March 2013 and July 2021Then he was deployed to Afghanistan for four months in 2014. He spent time in Fort Benning, Georgia and Vicenza, Italy.

He left active duty as a staff sergeant and then joined the Washington National Guard in 2021. In 2023 or 2024 he switched to Part Time duty.
per this link: https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/article307979205.html

about the Guard:
He transferred to the organization in 2021 from the Active Component – and has been pending a disciplinary discharge for not showing up to his monthly drills. The last drill he attended was about a year ago. Who is Travis Decker? What to know about the Wenatchee father wanted for murder

Authorities said he also has extensive military training and went to mountain survival school.

The divorce was in 2022 according to the court records. I don't think we have any information about when he moved out.

Thanks for posting, but OMG "Whitney detailed incidents that contributed to the separation, including a situation on Aug. 15, 2024, when Travis allegedly found one of their daughters passed out with a bathrobe tied around her neck at his mother's house and failed to inform Whitney.

In at least one picture his physical appearance looks that way, yes imo too. TD is originally from Pewaukee, Wisconsin - it's mentioned back thread - so not as if he would be going back 'home' to any of the Reserves in Washington State. I can't imagine any First Nation wanting to hide a murderer of children on their land - TD is a danger to everybody. IMO

According to the County Assessor, Travis and Whitney purchased their home on in May of 2021 and April of 2023 there was a Quit Claim Deed filed with Travis's name. So likely sometime around Spring of 2023 he moved out. He probably got a chunk of equity $$ and had been surviving on that for sometime until it ran out.

He was also employed until this past Monday, so he had income from his job too.

"On Monday, June 2, he failed to show up to work. His boss noted "some recent mental health concerns" to detectives."

I found a copy of the arrest affidavit for those interested.

the mother noted that TD was exhibiting "screaming/crying" when he had to return the girls in the past or when getting off the phone with them,
Can somebody provide a link for this information?

Later on this thread, this information has seemed to turn into the girls would scream/cry on returning to one of the parents.
JMO but it's important to know whether TD or the girls were screaming.

This photo of Travis Decker’s smirk 👿 and his tattoo’s make me physically ill, He really thinks ‘s he is ‘god’s gift’ to us all.👺If only I could unsee it.🤬🤬 What a piece of 🤬I would like to paint a huge target 🎯 bull’s eye on his back.

I suspect the picture was taken in better days and that his facial expression was likely appropriate for that time. I think they released the photo to give people info on identifying features. The photo - and tatoos - don't seem abnormal to me. Could be anybody on a nice summer day. Of course, with what has just happened, it's hard to look back with any objectivity. JMO.
