Hhhmmm if he did get up here to Canada (I'm Canadian and semi-familiar with the places below), he'd be around Manning Park area. Manning Park is pretty huge but popular for hiking and skiing. Lots of outdoorsy types going there in the summer to camp/hike.

From there he could make his way to East to the Okanagan - lots of fruit orchards, wineries, farms and farm work there. Used to be lots of hippie/outdoorsy transient workers/fruit pickers there back in the day, not sure if it's still like that these days. He might not stand out as much if he stuck around.

Or West to Hope area, which is a tiny town and he'd stick out like a sore thumb to locals. It is a highway junction town though, so a popular gas, scenery stop for tourists travelling the highways. So it's a bit touristy but no one "stays" there, it's a pass through town. MOO, JMO

Had a friend that attended school in Kelowna, from what they tell me that city still has a major homeless problem.

hope it doesnt mean he slipped up because he's ready to give up. This could be a very dangerous time depends on what TD is planning.
I truly hope reality has set in and may he feel guilt and remorse if he is out of psychosis (IF that's what he was in - I guess I want to believe that having young children myself).

I am hoping he turns himself in peacefully and is accountable for his children. C'mon do the right thing TD....

I don't think he could make it as far as our Canadian border all that easily! There are the Cascade mountains on the American side and north of the border miles upon miles of dense wilderness and high mountains to Manning Park on our side. And no major cities nearby even if he made it that far, to blend into. Just more wilderness and towns miles further.
Oosoyoos and the okanagan valley is not that far from Wenatchee. He doesn’t have to go to manning park, Hope area.

True, good point. I was the one back in the thread that posted he could go East (Hope) or West (Okanagan) from Manning.

I mentioned the Manning route assuming he was on that Pacific Crest Trail, that looks to lead right up to Manning.

If he veered off that trail, you are right and could do Osoyoos way. I think there's a manned border crossing there to Oroville IIRC (lived there way back when). Might be harder than the wilderness way.

Sounding like he's still in WA though, which is good for us in Canada. Hoping the community is safe by Ingalls Creek.

ETA: major typos!

yes, I realize that. However, having driven to Wenatchee from Osoyoos, it would be a very, very long trek walking and hiding out all the way to the border area. And having lived in the border town of Osoyoos for over 30 years, it is a small town and would not be easy to hide in nor make his way elsewhere, believe me. Plus neighbouring small towns are not easy to get to via walking and hide out in for long either, and there are no big cities nearby to blend into.

I still don't understand how his appearance changes so significantly. Over time, for others, yes. But I've never seen it before. Not this significantly, in not so long of a time. It is like several different persons!

Tonight I attended an outdoor benefit concert for the girls' mother at Pybus Market in Wenatchee. (Pybus, located between the Columbia River and the heart of downtown Wenatchee, is a popular spot featuring numerous indoor shops and restaurants.) The singer/guitarist who performed (Virgil Eagle of Whiskey Trail) showcased a beautiful voice and did a beautiful job. I know there must have been a lot of thought put into the lyrics of the songs he chose. He performed some appropriate chart toppers from the past and other songs like "I'll Fly Away", "Hallelujah", "Candle in the Wind", "Stand By Me", and "Amazing Grace". Some tearjerkers, I tell you.

A reporter from King 5 News in Seattle, Maddie White, interviewed me and a couple other attendees. The reporter and I were both on the verge of tears when I told her the singer had changed "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" to "Angels" at the end. (I think I was approached to be interviewed because I was easily accessible sitting off by myself on a parking lot curb, and my bright pink wrist cast was practically screaming for attention.) Right about this time, word came in about the Ingalls Creek/Valley Hi angle so the reporter and cameraman were well-positioned to go after that and feature it on the 11:00 p.m. news.

On another topic, my next-door neighbor works at the school the girls attended. She says she can't imagine how they will ever be able to thank everyone who is sending them things. Every day more things arrive.....sandwiches and goodies for the staff, plants, flowers.... Photos and flowers have been placed at the entryway of the school.

Sounds like he went south.
MOO, an army ranger should be able to go about 40+ miles a day if there is any trail at all. No trail of course makes it way less.

Moo. If he is still alive, I think he will be a bit off kilter. But there is a lot of farm work needed now. And if people are paying minimum wage..they will hire anyone and often offer basic living place
I've worked on a lot of farms seasonally & have been a farm supervisor. People were always kicked out quickly if they acted weird! Farmers know that if they don't get rid of people exhibiting anti social behavior that they risk losing the rest of their crew

How many miles on the PCT from his original location to Canada?
He had 2? 3? days before searches started.
You can move so quickly on the PCT, easily 20-30 miles/day
I bet he brought 2/3 of those pizzas along for food if he hiked

He would be able to change his appearance drastically by removing head hair, facial hair & covering up all tattoos

Someone made a comment about him potentially blending into a homeless population. Maybe he could be in Vancouver, Canada?

Before the searches started he could have also hitchhiked to who knows where?

*IMO the amount of time between murders happening & search starting was really on his side no matter how you look at it*

It's about 215 miles on the PCT from that campground to the Canadian border, with 38,000 ft of elevation gain.

I am now very doubtful that he took that "escape" route.

Someone asked this question before: what about the other campers at that campground? This particular campground would probably be occupied by other campers on a Friday night during this time of year! It's only about 30 minutes away from Leavenworth, which is a very popular recreation area. People from the Seattle metro area camp and hike out there too. The snow is low this year in the Cascades so that campground probably had other occupants on a Friday night!!!
