So Icicle Creek is only 15 mile hike from Rock Island Campground.
Lower Johnny Creek Campground is on the trail between them.

Sounds to me like they are tracking him and he is getting closer to Leavenworth's outskirts. Trail cams will be out there more often.

Since he isn't making good time, MOO he must know they are on his trail, and is taking cover that is slowing him down. Mystery that he didn't get further faster.

Icicle creek actually flows next to the Rock Island Campground and along side of Icicle Rd all the way into Leavenworth where it turns into the Wenatchee River.

Right. Back to the 'mystery' hand prints on Decker's truck tailgate of a human male's and an animal's blood.

Could Decker have been attacked by an apex animal at the campsite? If so, he may have defended himself injurng the animal (animal's blood on his hand) and he could have been injured too.

Maybe both survived the encounter, the animal ran off and then Decker got supplies from his truck, (leaving the hand prints) and then ran off or perhaps just hobbled off into the woods. Makes me wonder if there is a blood trail for LE?

I wonder too if the sheriff's ideas are accurate. Sheriff is used to tracking/predicting ordinary criminals. Word is Decker has extensive military survival training. That is a big difference.

Weren't thoughts he was heading for Canada? If so, he's going the wrong direction. With his training he definitely knows north from east.

Tracking teams believe they are on Decker’s trail, community support and tips are still needed!
Law Enforcement have tracked a subject believed to be Decker into Blewett Pass/ HWY 97 area. We are asking for the public, especially those who live or have cabins in the area, to remain highly vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

First off, we here at CCSO want to thank the countless hours spent on this search by men and women of law enforcement from a vast number of agencies across our region, state, and nation. The amount of work that has been accomplished thus far could not have happened without them and we are forever grateful.

Our office recently received a tip from a hiking party who stated they spotted a lone hiker in the Enchantments area who appeared to be ill prepared for trail and weather conditions, and appeared to be avoiding others. Tracking teams immediately acted upon the information and spotted a lone, off trail hiker from a helicopter near Colchuck Lake who ran from sight as the helicopter passed. Additional assets were called to the area while they developed a plan to track the individual. Teams later picked up a trail and deployed K9s to the area, tracking the subject to the area of Ingalls Creek Trailhead on HWY 97.

HIKERS: If you have been in the Enchantments area within the last week and have seen anything suspicious, please contact the tip line with any information you may have. Additionally, if you were a solo hiker in the area recently, please contact the tip line immediately with your information so investigators can follow up with you.

As the search continues in the area, we are asking that anyone who may have a cabin, or reside in the area report any suspicious activity, lock your doors and vehicles, and look out for your neighbor’s property. If you have any cameras, including trail cameras in the area, please check them or submit a tip to the US Marshal’s tip line with a location of the camera for law enforcement to check.

While federal agencies lead the continued searched, CCSO detectives remain strongly engaged on the murder investigation, processing evidence and tracking down more potential evidence to build a strong case for prosecution. We want to sincerely thank the hard work of our Detective Division led by Sgt. Lewis, and East Cascade SWAT Team led by Sgt. Frank, Sgt. Foreman and Deputy Eakle, who have put in several hundred combined hours of work since locating Evelyn, Paityn, and Olivia deceased on June 2, 2025.

For our citizens and communities, we are grateful for the outpouring of support you have given to all of our members. A special thank you to the Wenatchee Blue Family, Soup Ladies, and other local entities that have provided all the law enforcement personnel with meals, snacks, drinks, coffee, bug spray, sun screen, and other countless essential items that keep us moving.

Honestly, I don’t think he drugged them. That would have been kind. He chose cruelty.

He chose a horrific way to kill his children. Painful, tortuous, long, and he watched. He had to have watched because he couldn’t do all 3 at once. And then, he tossed them down a hill like garbage.

I have no compassion for this evil creature even if he suffered from mental illness. I don’t care. He planned and made choices. He knew it was wrong. He’s either on the run or dead. Either way he fled. He knew there would be consequences for his actions.

I repeat…he made choices.

I’m so over these so called “parents” who murder their children for whatever reason. I am sick to death of it.

I hope they find him alive. I want him to face the rest of his miserable life in fear of what other inmates may do to him.

I’ve been following this case mostly from the sidelines and saw this post the other day and saved it until I had time from busy RL lately to post:

I 100% agree with every word of this. I’ve said it before I’ll say again-imo majority of individuals with MH issues are victims of crime vs. perpetrators. An evil coward intentional killer especially of his own children, MH issues or not, is altogether different.

I don’t doubt and like you, do not care TD suffered from MH issues. I’ve read he has PTSD and BPD which imo thousands upon thousands of individuals have and some with both/co-morbid, on every end and in between of the spectrum, treated and untreated yet have not, nor will they likely ever, kill anyone. Even some people with schizophrenia experiencing a psychotic break can manage to have self control over their impulses, actions and imo will not give in and take action on the distorted thoughts/delusions/voices and choose to either remove themselves from the situation i.e., not allow themselves to be around the people/children the thoughts/voices are telling them to harm, maim, kill OR will take their own life to stop the misery/torment going on in their head without harming or killing another soul.
Andrea Yates is extremely rare aka exception, not the rule.

Reportedly TD wanted to make connections with people and as someone else mentioned, here he had 3 beautiful children he could’ve connected with but instead made a choice to kill them one by one in most cruel, tortuous way is completely unfathomable. These 3 beautiful innocent children, the greatest gifts parents are fortunate to receive, lives’ were taken by the person who was supposed to love and protect them most and whom I’m sure they all loved, is absolutely unbearable to think about the horror these 3 beautiful children likely suffered through at the hands of their own ‘Father’.

Unless or until it’s revealed TD had a psychotic break from reality with command hallucinations, I continue to believe he knew what he was doing and knew it was wrong evidenced in part, by his prior searches about going to Canada/finding jobs in Canada.
That, in addition to WD rejecting his advancements to get back together, makes me think this is more likely to be a revenge motivated murder to punish WD in the worse way possible by taking what she loved most in the world away from her. What TD (allegedly) did to his own children is ultimate act of evil and selfishness. IMO he made a choice to go to the complete dark side aka he chose wrong/evil over choosing right/good and walking away, getting help/treatment and allowing his children to live as was their right.

MH issues aside, imo this was an intentional, selfish, cowardly, evil act by, echoing your words, an evil creature (imo doesn’t deserve to be called Father) who is either dead or on the run. I too hope he’s found alive and held accountable/faces consequences, and the sooner the better to ensure the safety of others. If he’s already dead/offed himself, I say good riddance to a child killer. My compassion and sympathy are with his three beautiful daughters’/victims, and their devastated Mother, WD.

Thoughts and prayers go out to WD and all those who cared about and loved these 3 beautiful girls. I’m glad Mom has a good support system around her at this most difficult, heartbreaking time as she surely needs it. Thoughts and prayers also going out to all the LE conducting the search for TD that they remain safe and hopefully locate him alive and able to ‘bring him in’ to face consequences without anyone else getting hurt.

I’m so sorry this happened to you Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia. You deserved better and should still be here living your lives.

Looks like he decided to head to civilization, maybe injured himself
as he should have, but couldn't finish the job.
To me this route implies he was not planning ahead, he needs supplies.
