Do you think he would go after his ex? Seems to me he got what he wanted, to make her hurt as much as possible. who knows, if they didnt think he'd do this, there's no telling what he would do.
I think he did this to punish her. "see what you did? you ruined our family! You made me do this" etc.

But I also think it is possible that hurting her from some unseen distance may not offer the payoff he needs from this horrific act of his. What if he needs to SEE her suffering for it to be enough for him? If he was controlling in the marriage, he may feel a need to continue that control by terrorizing her.

Exactly. Completely fits with the description of him in the court paperwork: "Travis also has some emotional/mental health issues that were the primary catalyst to the end of our marriage. His borderline personality disorder and narcissism became rampant.”"

@CStewartNews

Hard to find the words for this story out of Washington state.

This man is wanted for the kidnapping and murder of his 3 young daughters.

The Decker sisters were a part of the Short Shakespeare family. Ashley-Jo says she knew the girls for several years and that all of them were truly bright lights that lit up any stage they were on.

“They had life and love and they were so beautiful and so joyous,” Ashley-Jo said.

“The community of Wenatchee is here for you. We love you. We support you. We want the best for you and we are incredibly sorry that this happened,” Maggie said.

Was there anyone else at that campground?

It pains me so much to see this happen in the news. Seems like it's becoming more common. I wish people would stop harming the children because of domestic, narcissism, anger at court decisions and or child support disputes. what ever the reason, they are innocents and not part of adult problems which are occurring around them. They deserve a chance for a life too.

I haven't seen anything that has said there was. I just don't see a random person murdering those 3 little girls and then taking the Dad elsewhere to kill him,in most cases of a revenge kill because of something one of the parent would have done they would have just simply killed the kids in front of them then kill the parent right there.

They said 2 bloody handprints were found on the car. Asphyxiation?

MutMegg this doesn’t answer your question but it cites court records as their source. Perhaps the two bloody handprints originated from defensive wounds at the crime scene which occurred as the girls fought & struggled for their life against Travis Decker?

my opinion only

Decker’s unoccupied vehicle was spotted close to the Rock Island Campground west of the town of Leavenworth at around 3:45 p.m. on Monday by a Chelan County deputy.

The three girls’ bodies were discovered close by with plastic bags over their heads and zip ties on their wrists, but there was no sign of Decker, according to a court affidavit seen by the Seattle Times.

All three died from asphyxiation, police believe.

Two bloody handprints were found on the tailgate of the truck, and Decker’s cell phone records show him in the area on Saturday, according to court documents.

Yeah, I wondered about those bloody prints when we learned suffocation. First thought was defensive wounds as you describe. But for it to be handprints (plural)? I would expect maybe some blood smears if he were scratched up by the girls. That term - bloody handprints. Seems like quite a bit of blood would be needed to result in hand prints JMO

I'd imagine they'll take fingerprints from the handprints ?
My first thought was that one of the girls bit him, but to get blood on one's hands would require a deeper wound then a young girl could inflict.
Still hope they did bite, scratch, ...whatever.
Imo.

Agreed.

Graphic :

If he'd cut his wrists for instance, he'd have been found by now.

exactly, for the blood to be his would suggest maybe self harm and a plan to end it but if such a plan existed, why then was he not found there with the truck and the girls near the campsite?

Lots of search activity going on according to this article: Chelan County search for Travis Decker intensifies with aerial support | FOX 28 Spokane

It mentions two helicopters from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office Air Support Unit, additional federal agents and LE, numerous tips from the public, and offers of help from off-road vehicle owners and backcountry experts.

Just checked flightradar now and there's at least one plane I see that is flying in a grid pattern.

He killed his children AND his dog. This man had a break from reality and no telling what he could do next.
Do you have link where it says he killed his dog? I thought the dog was still alive. Jmo

Either this is unrelated or they have information that he was spotted somewhere else because that's south of Wenatchee, not near Leavenworth where the truck and girls were found.

I didn't see any aircraft that seemed to be doing searches near Leavenworth, just this one. At least right now. Perhaps it is unrelated. But, if he was a ranger and familiar with being in the woods, maybe he has trekked there during the past few days? Jmo.

He had been talking about getting rid of his dog over financial concerns, according to court records.
Wenatchee girls found dead at campsite were bound; father hasn't been located

I think he planned to rehome or at least indicated that was his plan to his ex.
Rehome the dog for 'financial concerns'.. 🤔 hmmm, probably murdered those innocent babies for the same then, he must have been in arrears with child support no doubt and overwhelmed with everything.. being homeless and I'm guessing no job. jmo (punishing the mother for his 'plight')
