"Orange County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Carrie Braun also told E! News Emmy, whose full name is Emeline Miller, passed away on Sunday. She confirmed the coroner's case is still open and that witness interviews need to be conducted to determine what took place. Furthermore, there are still conversations about whether an autopsy will be done. The cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

"This is being investigated as a tragic accident," Braun said. "At this time, it does not appear that there was criminal wrong doing or negligence in this case."

I agree about parenting and making mistakes. I have felt this same tug whenever a parent makes an awful mistake--- including leaving their child in a car, which is a horrible way to die. I believe it is important to give grace to parents--all ages and shapes and colors--- when they have paid an ultimate price for a moment's blunder. I have made some mistakes that I was grateful for the second chance as well.
My parents entire generation would have been vilified as horrible parents, undeserving of their children if held to the impossible standards many parents are judged by today.

Miller and Morgan also have a son Nash Skan, 3, while Miller has children from previous relationships: son Samuel, 5, and daughter Neesyn, 10.

GoFundMe Set Up for Bode Miller and Wife After Daughter's Accidental Drowning Raises Thousands
................................................

So prior to the accidental drowning of baby Emeline, the Millers had a total of four children age 10 and under. It is entirely possible Morgan had her hands full at the moment, plus being pregnant according to the article at the link above, did not mean to miss Emeline, ie, know where she was.

RIP Emeline

It goes without saying that the loss of a child is horrifically tragic.

I don't know the Millers, but I grieve with them for the loss of their precious Emmy.

I daresay they are in the throes of unimaginable, inconsolable agony.

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Sleuthing loved ones, criticizing them, posting social media information about them, and discussing and criticizing a 🤬🤬🤬 account set up by a well-meaning friend of the family is off-limits.

For goodness sake people, this family just lost a child in what is more than likely a tragic accident.

Do NOT go there.

That’s exactly what I was hoping they would do with the money! Good for them!
