One Direction star Liam Payne has died after falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Argentina. He was 31

The video is old, as his girlfriend is in it but according to the article below she left Argentina a few days ago.
So he posted an old video, taken days before,…on Snapchat, just before he died?

Very sad and shocking, for his family, his young son and beloved ones.
And the hotel staff,ofcourse..

CasaSur Palermo, and we need you to send someone urgently because, well, I don’t know whether his life, may be in danger, the guest’s life. He is in a room with a balcony and well, we’re a little afraid that he…”

Liam Payne latest: 'We are heartbroken' - family pays tribute as singer dies in hotel fall

Probably his social media team that posted it. Some posts are scheduled to be posted at a certain time.

There seem to be conflicting stories about whether he went back to his room off his own accord, or whether he was carried back to his room by hotel staff. If the latter it seems odd that they would then phone the police to say 'we are worried he is in danger, he is in a room with a balcony'. If they were worried about him being in that room, why carry him back there unconscious?

"It comes as Alberto Crescenti, head of the city’s emergency services, revealed Payne had a 'cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death'.

He also told TN television that Payne was dead when paramedics arrived at 5pm local time (9pm UK time)"

The timeline is a little confusing. Strange that the hotel phoned for 'an ambulance only', specifying that they did not want the police, given the call was purportedly about an aggressive man behaving erratically.

Surely the police are the people you would call first in this scenario?

Another conflicting piece of information within this Daily Mail article:

"He said: 'The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur. At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead."

Can anyone find info as to what time those initial 911 calls were made?

Hotel 911 transcript:

"A full transcript of a translation of the call is below:

911 operator: "What is happening sir?"

Hotel manager: "We have a guest drunk with drugs and alcohol. When he [them, gender not clear in conversation] is conscious, he is breaking everything in the room."

911 operator: "You said alcohol and drugs..."

Hotel manager: "This is correct."

911 operator: "You said Costa Rica intersecting where?"

Hotel manager: "Costa Rica 6032."

911 operator: "Repeat."

Hotel manager: "Costa Rica 6032."

911 operator: "What is the hotel called?"

Hotel manager: "Caza Azul Palermo. We need to send someone with urgency because I don't know if the guest's life is in danger because he is in a room with balcony, and we are afraid he could do something that threatens life."

911 operator: "How long has he been there? Is it a long stay hotel?"

Hotel manager: "(The guest) has been for the past three days."

911 operator: "You don't any other information because you can't get in. Right?"

Hotel manager: "No."

911 operator: "We are also notifying SAME (Medical Emergency Attention Service)."

Hotel manager: "We are asking to send someone with urgency because..."

911 operator: "We are doing that. Any other data to give me. Who are you?"

Hotel manager: "I'm the desk manager."

911 operator: "Person in charge of the place."

Hotel manager - "Yes."

911 operator: "It has been notified. What is your name, sir?"

Hotel manager: "Esteban."

911 operator: "Thanks for calling. Be online."

Hotel manager: "Are you sending police too."

911 operator: "Police from the delegation... Let me confirm."

Hotel manager: "No, no, only SAME, only SAME (Medical Emergency Attention Service)."

911 operator: "Don't worry because they have already been notified."

Hotel manager: "Because as you said he is under the influence of alcohol and drugs, SAME personnel can't enter alone."

911 operator: "You can ask that to the police, but if SAME needs them, they will notify you."

Hotel manager: "Good, OK, perfect."

911 operator: "Have a good day."

Hotel manager: "Thanks, you too."'

Doesn't anyone else find the hotel 911 call really suss? The first call they hang up... then on the second they say they are concerned for his life because he is in a 3rd floor room with a balcony... well why did they carry him up there then? Also on the second call they say to send an ambulance but not the police. If he isn't already injured and they havent done anything wrong, why are they asking for an ambulance but no police? Surely they need the police to calm him down and sort this out if he's been violent. I feel like no one else is seeing this?

It seems confusing as when I first heard the translated version on Sky news this morning it didn't appear the hotel didn't want police. In fact they said the SAME couldn't force entry or go in alone (my paraphrasing)...

I also got the impression he was taken up to his room because he was very drunk??? And aggressive...but only when he was in his room did they realise he was smashing everything and a possible danger to himself.

Imo it's possible they helped him to his room thinking he would calm down and settle

This article was interesting, It talks about how negative posts mentioning Liams name went from 500 a day and rose to almost 42,000. within a 2 week period.

Negative posts mentioning Payne's full name or X and TikTok handle started picking up in the first week of October.
In late September, there had only been a handful: just over 500 a day for a couple of days at the end of September, then sitting in double digits until 3 October, when there were 3,700 negative posts, then 4,300 the following day.
Negative mentions dipped for a day, before rising to more than 8,400 negative posts on 7 October, the day after Payne's ex-fiancee Maya Henry posted a video on TikTok about his behaviour since their break-up.

In the two weeks until midday on Wednesday there were 42,500 negative posts mentioning the star, with close to 900,000 engagements and a potential reach of 2.2 billion.

This includes posts on TikTok, X, YouTube and Reddit, but not Meta-owned platforms Instagram and Facebook.

source Liam Payne dies latest: New details of Payne's death released - as hotel room found in 'total disorder'

As fans and media bombarded the Casa Sur Hotel in the trendy Palermo neighborhood of Argentina’s capital, the forensics unit worked inside on Thursday collecting evidence.

The Buenos Aires police said they found Payne's hotel room “in complete disarray," with packs of clonazepam, a central nervous system depressant, as well as energy supplements and other over-the-counter drugs strewn about and “various items broken.” They added that a whiskey bottle, lighter and cellphone were retrieved from the internal hotel courtyard where Payne’s body was found.

Initial autopsy results indicated that Payne suffered hemorrhages and multiple traumatic injuries, a Buenos Aires security official said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief the media. The official said the report showed that Payne's plunge from the third-floor balcony was what caused his fatal injuries.

very sad story, he talks about how he felt One direction was built around him ( his perception) and as the group was put together on X factor, all the boys wanted to be solo artists but were put together as a group, and sounds like they became resentful of eachother.
Liam wrote a lot of the music for One Direction also ( I read 30 songs) , some of their biggest hits including " the story of my life" I can see how he may have felt that he didnt get all he deserved. Very talented man, but seemed to have trouble getting along with people.

If he was passed out, unconscious and fell with no defensive wounds there would be damage to balcony it would seem. And if a jump probably not. Hope for cctv or video to r/o foul play. Conflicting stories on dead upon impact also. Great emotional pain for sure. Rest in peace.

In addition to my above comment-the autopsy may show in the state of dying he was already passed mid fall and it would explain the no defensive hand wounds. The state of the balcony will tell a lot. Video also. I got this info from multiple sources and tgere are multiple differing statements

“Authorities have confirmed the chilling details of One Direction star Liam Payne's shocking death, revealing that he "jumped from the balcony" of his hotel room in Argentina, plunging to his death, reports indicate.

In an official statement given to The Associated Press, police authorities disclosed that the 31 year old singer "had jumped from the balcony of his room," dispelling any notions of an accidental fall or foul play.”

This latest update is not unexpected but very tragic. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends. May Liam Rest In Peace.

It could well be a translation error but how on the one hand can you say he jumped, yet in another say he was unconscious at the time of falling and that why he didn't form a protective position. The timeline and not requesting police does not make sense.
I think they took him up to the hotel room when he was out of control and locked him in thinking it was for his safety. There was a witness who thought they were doing work in the room as the staff were in and out from 4.30pm. In the meantime he lost it in the hotel room being locked in and tried to escape by jumping off the balcony. They hear this and hang up... Then call back and just request medical assistance no police.

"On Wednesday, Buenos Aires police had said in a statement to The Associated Press that Payne “had jumped from the balcony of his room,” without elaborating on how that conclusion was reached or whether the jump was intentional. Police said in an earlier statement that they rushed to the hotel in response to an emergency call just after 5 p.m. local time warning of an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

When reached by CNN on Thursday, Pablo Policicchio, communications director for the Buenos Aires Police, declined to clarify the statement provided to AP and referred CNN to the prosecutor’s office for more information.

Payne’s injuries suggest he might not have been fully conscious at the time of his fall, the public prosecutor’s report suggested. “Due to the position in which the body was found and the injuries from the fall, it is presumed that Payne did not adopt a reflexive posture to protect himself and may have fallen in a state of semi or total unconsciousness,’” it read"

Doing work in the room? Then he lost it?
