Can you provide a source for this information? While I can definitely believe that they may not have taken a report when a former girlfriend first went missing, I find it difficult to believe that there is any problem getting an investigation opened now, when he is being charged with multiple murders.
It was in a local FB group, I know her name, but since she isn't a part of this and not legally missing I don't think I can say. I know many people who ran in the same circles as the victims as well as Jesse. We know a lot of the same people.

Technically this would probably fall under social media hearsay and not be permitted for discussion in this thread at all, even without the name.

This was a few months ago but if you do believe that someone connected with Calhoun is missing it is likely that these two people are still interested in any information you can provide:

Anyone with information about the deaths of any of these victims and/or information about Jesse Calhoun should contact Portland Police Bureau Detective Jeff Pontius at [email protected] and/or Detective Stephen Gandy at [email protected]v

That she is homeless, indigent, and an addict and that she doesn't want to be found. Same excuse they give for anyone in the life.

I have found this to be true. If they think someone is homeless, a runaway, or an addict they refuse to take a report, and if they do do not take it seriously. See the Green River Killer case.

Prosecutors have added one more murder charge to the case of a Portland man already accused of killing three women.

Jesse Lee Calhoun now faces four counts each of 2nd degree murder and abuse of a corpse. He was allegedly killing the women and dumping their bodies throughout the Portland metro area during a 5 month span from late 2022 to early 2023.

Kristin Smith, 22, the woman named in the new indictment, was previously identified as a possible victim of the same killer. Charges have now been filed against Calhoun.

Portland 'serial killer' charged with murder of fourth woman

A suspected serial killer preying on women in Portland has now been charged with a fourth murder as it emerges he was freed from prison early by Oregon's former Governor Kate Brown.

Jesse Calhoun, 40, was indicted Tuesday on one count of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree abuse of a corpse in the murder of Kristin Smith, 22, Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez said

I think it's so irresponsible of LE to dismiss the public's fears of a serial killer when it was incredibly obvious, at least to me, that that is what was happening. It's like every city/town in America has this bias of, "No, it can't happen here, you're crazy!"
It is fascinating starting this thread from the beginning with the adamant "no connection to each other" and reading as another piece of the puzzle snaps into place to reveal a serial killer.

During the press conference, Kristin’s mother, Melissa Smith, said she was “overwhelmed with emotion.” “I stayed strong doing all I could, trying to save my daughter,” Melissa said. “And it was just unbearable to find out it was too late and needed help finding her. And I did everything I could to try to get answers and fight and search.”

Calhoun has also been named as a person of interest in the death of Ashley Real, 22, though he has not been indicted in that case.

“Every single person who never forgot about these five women, our family, our angels, they’re all taken too soon,” Melissa said.

Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez said he’s determined to work with Clackamas County investigators on the ongoing Real case. “That is an extremely important case to us, one that is currently under investigation,” Vasquez said.

Diana Allen, the mother of Perry — one of Calhoun’s alleged victims — shared a message for others still searching for answers: “Don’t give up hope. It hurts so bad, but it’s so precious. You cannot let it go.” A trial is expected to occur in 2027
