The picture provided looks to be months old. I don't think it is not a good sign if the parents chose to release a picture that does not reflect his current age.

So the location seems to be shifted from first reports. Why is there an emphasis on the parents vehicle? Also, the photo of the child doesn't look recent to me.

JMO, but it may be a case of the parents and child living in their car, the location really bothers me, Bend has seen a lot of crimes in the past year.

Deschutes County sheriff's deputies were searching Thursday for a missing 1-year-old boy south of Bend, Bradley Michael Thomas; also issued photo of his parents' vehicle, to job people's memory (both adults accounted for).

In the comments on the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office post the DCSO responded to the question about why the vehicle photos and they said:

Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Oregon Adults vehicle just to hopefully jog peoples memory to adults and child.

Both adults are accounted for.

Still odd because what difference does it make. If you see a one year old out and about by himself it won't be the case where you ask yourself "Is that the kid they are looking for or a different one".

So, which is it? Do they want people in the area to search their properties or do they want them not to so tracks and scent aren't disturbed?

There is trash on the ground by that vehicle, and it looks like it's been sitting there for some time. Were they homeless? How does a baby just disappear and the parents can't say for certain what he is wearing. Really? Something stinks.

Exactly how old is a one year old wearing a onsie and a blanket? 12 months, 18 months, 22 months? Just thinking of how far the little fella could travel on his own.
