I saw Without A Trace last night, as well as Brooke's picture. Hubby saw it with me, so updated him on her case.

He asked me how I get any work done at all - LOL.

Classmates say Kim known for off-color remarks

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. - An accused underwear thief who has been named a person of interest in the disappearance of 19-year-old Brooke Wilberger once alarmed his college classmates by telling them that he could kill at will because he was "one of Christ's angels."

Richard Johnston, who often went target shooting with Sung Koo Kim when the two were students at Washington State University, told the McMinnville News-Register that he and other college friends shunned Kim after he began making violent, off-color remarks.

At the Tigard home he shares with his parents, investigators found more than 3,400 pairs of panties and bras, many labeled with names, dates and places. Ten pairs belonged to an Oregon State University swimmer, who lived in the apartment complex from which Wilberger disappeared.

They also found seven assault rifles, three computers collectively containing 40,000 images of women being mutilated, raped and dismembered and a disturbing word document.

The single-page document, titled "OSU.doc," describes the rape and murder of a woman, listing the items needed to carry out the torture, including a hood, mirrored sunglasses, six pairs of nylons and a bra and panty set for the victim.

"Hang by the neck, hog-tie and pull neck," it reads. "Cut off blood to head for 10 minutes, two times."

One time, Kim told the group he thought the Columbine High School massacre was justified because the assailants had been teased and bullied.

Another time, he told them he could kill at will and not face sanctions because he was an angel of Christ.

The charges against Kim for his underwear thefts carry an undertone of menace. In the course of extensive research, police investigators learned Kim belonged to Yahoo chat groups with such names as Strangling-🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, Femalestrangulation, Corpseoftheweek and Innocent-killers-2002.

OMG! where was the family with all this? they had to have an idea how nuts he was since he was living at home. This is really scary stuff.

I was wondering how far away that fellow lives that just got arrested for abducting a 18 yr old and rapeing her some 25 miles from where she was taken from. wonder if it is possible that this man could be responsable for brookes missing. I think his name was robert stamper. I do agree that this kim guy is a good suspect at hand now, but if it turns out he isn't then they could always look back at this fellow. good thing for the young lady that she got away. I just wonder if the same area in which she was raped should be searched for brooke, this guy knew of this place and may have used it more than once. just my thoughts. there was a story in todays news cast a www.katu.com

dannyodie, I was wondering that myself but later they said that he was not a suspect. They said they were able to confirm that he was at work during the time of brooks dissapearance.

Just heard something new! 10 O'Colck news - channel 12

On the day Brooke went missing, Kim went to Home Depot and bought 3 cement cinder blocks!

Shades of what? Wonder if they searched any lakes in Tigard, which is where he went to Home Depot with his dad. Right? She had to be hidden somewhere. He is so sick though, well, I don't want to say. Just awful to even think about.

PS: Wonder where Newsperson is? He/she will know something about this.

Here is an article relating to this information Scandi. Read the last paragraph where they say this information is something they are investigating but not one of their high priority things. HELLO.... cinderblocks? :waitasec: 2 hours after Brooke went missing? Please tell me what I am missing here? :banghead:

http://katu.com/news/story.asp?ID=69384

Now police say an employee at a lumber store in Newberg told them that Kim bought cinder blocks on May 24, several hours after Brooke vanished.

"We're aware of the employee's remarks at the lumber yard," Corvallis Police Lt. Ron Noble said. "It's something we're looking into as part of the investigation to see if Kim is associated with Brooke's disappearance."

Noble added that while it may be tempting to jump to conclusions about this new piece of information, he wants people to remember that Kim is one of at least five people being investigated with regard to Brooke's disappearance. He says investigators are moving carefully as they examine the facts.

"The investigation regarding the blocks is still in the infant stages," Noble said. "It is one of many things we are investigating and definitely not one of the most high priority things."

How close are Corvallis and Tigard to the Willamette River? To the ocean??

If she's underwater, it makes sense to me b/c they haven't found anything doing extensive land searches.

This is so sad and it should be TOP priority!!! :furious:

Sorry I got the store wrong - it wasn't a Home Depot. LOL

The Willamette River runs right through Portland, and Tigard, a suburb of Portland is about 10 min. drive away. Corvallis is about a 1 1/2 or so hour drive to the ocean - Tigard about a 2 hour drive. I don't know if the Willamette is down by Corvallis, but it could be. Someone told me it is the longest river in North America that runs N and S!

You would think there would be more to this than they are saying. This morning I heard that the salesperson saw a pair of undies and some cover or something else in Kims vehicle when he loaded the blocks for him.

See you tonight!

I believe that there IS more to this...they are probably quietly investigating this without wanting to upset the family too much. That makes my hair stand on end that there was something like a "cover" in the van that the store employee saw....

The Willamette DOES run through Eugene,Corvallis, Salem,McMinnville then through some country area before hitting Wilsonville area, then Portland. Here is a map of the Willamette river. http://encarta.msn.com/map_701517640/Willamette.html

Just remember that Oregon has many Rivers, lakes, and reservoirs in this area. There could be any number of bodies of water a person could dispose of a corpse.

Just mentioning this makes me so sad. But I believe that this is what happened to beautiful Brooke. :(

I'am sure the police searched his car didn't they, if he had concrete blocks in the car then it seems to me that there would be some loose cinders that fall off concrete blocks embedded into the carpet of the vehicle. the river should be searched either in the corvallis area or the area in which he bought the blocks. he probably used those to hold her body below water. after all he is not a tradesman that would need just 3 concrete blocks for some project. is there any ponds or lakes on the university property that would be remote from the town?

No ponds or lakes near the campus come to mind but the river is really close, like a 5 min drive, if that. However, I suspect that the river (or other bodies of water) near portland would be a more likely place. Didn’t they say he purchased the blocks near portland a couple hours after she disappeared? If so, I doubt he would have taken her, driven to portland for blocks, then turned around and gone back to hide her...although, having said that...kim is clearly a strange guy...there isn’t much that would surprise me at this point. I feel horrible everytime I see her pictures on tv and think about how long it has been...

Hi Danny,

I live within 10 miles of Tigard. The one river I know we have close by is the Tualitin river. It is not a beautiful river, shallow in spots where it hardly runs in the summertime, and then getting broader, as it does feed the lake in Lake Oswego Oregon. I don't know where there are any deeper spots in this brownish colored river. It is pretty tame, but quite accesible from many points. Lake Oswego, where I grew up, is deep to where Sturgeon live in the center of the lake. But it is now Rich Man's Heaven, so access is sparcely available except in the city swim areas, all gated. Mpostly private ownership on the lake, so it is ruled out I think. Unless he has a friend who lives on the lake.

My gut is that he would have dumped her within what - 10 - 25 miles of his home in Tigard. There is Haag Lake which is a big lake - recreational and filled with weeds that grow up off the bottom, I believe. I am in a bit of a state of shock and absolute anger right now thinking of this. Where to find a body of water close by where Brook could be anchored to the bottom.

So Danny, since you know how to do this, could you please run your map to see what lakes are close by or within this 10 - 25 mile radius that look deep enough where you could sink a body from shore and be quite content that it would take a miracle to discover her?

Thanks Sweetie. Right now Haag Lake looks good - Tualatin River, would have to see where the deeper parts are and their accesibility.

Maps are my worst subject. Boy, do I need tips on finding maps! ;)

Thanks xoxoxo

Just checking in to see if anything is happening..........and STILL praying!

xxxxxxxxooooooooo

Me too Mama! I am glad to see you check in as well :blowkiss: 6 going on 7 days without a post, and I thought with the news that he bought those 3 concrete blocks, we'd have heard more news by now.

I've got this feeling she is down at the bottom of a lake somewhere close to Tigard, so now, before I struggle to install a new printer on my baby 'puter, I'm going to go see what viable bodies of water are nearby.

My sister, the only one in my family who knows I belong to a crime forum ;) , told me last Saturday that she heard on the news the police are searching all the possible bodies of water close to Tigard for Brooke. I was glad to hear that.

You know, sometimes if there isn't much new, the news on a certain subject gets lost. Other cases are at the forefront, and of course we care about these cases as well. I just hope here at WS there are some who will keep their thoughts alive and positive for Brooke's being located soon. The sooner the better. Her family has suffered in their humbleness long enough.

xoxoxo To all here! Scandi

I check in every day here, hoping for some good news about Brooke and the ongoing investigation to locate her.

Guess I'll just say a little prayer that the team is on it and working diligently to find her, which I know they are. And also ask a special blessing for her family to help them bear the not knowing where she is. It must be so hard on them. Such nice folk they are. Hope they are weathering the storm of uncertainty. God bless her whole family. You can tell my heart was taken by them. :blowkiss:

I have been following this case also! I live in Utah, and Brooke went to collage here!
I haven't posted on the missing forum but I do read!
Brooke and her family are in my prayers, and so are you!
I know how hard it is when you know the families involved in something like this!
Please let us know if there is any new information.
