Morning Harleysnana,

I'll let you know anything I hear, but in the last few weeks I have heard nothing on the local or national news about Brooke. And the constant TV commercials to call in tips have stopped now too. Guess they get to a certain point and then they just wait, letting LE do their investigation.

We did have a girl from Portland who disappeared 9 mos ago, and we all thought she had been skirted off by this man they had a drawing of. She turned herself in yesterday in Missoula Montana, and the story is she had run away! Brooke's case is entirely different, I know.

Detectives remain hopeful as search for Brooke continues

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The search continues for missing Brigham Young University student Brooke Wilberger, but detectives are focusing more on searches of specific locales than the mass searches they did in the first weeks on the case.
The trail has long grown cold.

"We don't have a lot of good information," said Peggy Peirson, one of the sheriff's incident commanders directing the effort. "We really don't know what happened to her."

More than 500 individuals have been "looked at" in Wilberger's disappearance, Lt. Ron Noble told The Oregonian.

At one time or another, up to two dozen males have been on what police call a "persons of interest" list. None of them has been charged in the Wilberger case, although one, Sung Koo Kim, has been labeled a suspect. He is in jail in Portland on unrelated charges of burglary and theft.

Mike Morrow, Peirson's boss and head of the county's search operation, said he is still hoping that Wilberger is alive and can be found and returned to her family.

"It often comes up in my dreams," Morrow told The Oregonian. "Off in the woods I find her - alive."

But research on missing young people isn't on his side. Statistics show that in child abductions, teen abductions and stranger abductions, the victims are slain within three or four hours from the time they are abducted, according to Maurice Godwin, an expert on psychological profiling of predatory criminals and author of the book, "Hunting Serial Predators." Police are convinced Wilberger was abducted.

It is so sad that she has dropped so far out of the spotlight. I pray everyone keeps Brooke in their thoughts and we find an answer to her horrible disappearance.

Grand Jury To Look At News Coverage Video

CORVALLIS, ORE. - A grand jury in Benton County is seeking evidence in the case of missing teenager Brooke Wilberger and among the subpoenas issued in the past few days are requests for videotape from KATU and other television stations.
The evidence is sought by a sitting grand jury - a panel of seven people who have been meeting twice a week in Benton County.

The panel of seven is not a special grand jury, but a regularly scheduled one that conducts the regular business of police investigators, like getting information from banks, cell companies or news stations.

"We will frequently go to a grand jury and ask them to issue a subpoena so we can get those records legally through the legal process," Ron Noble with the Corvallis Police Department, told KATU News.

KATU is one of several television stations to be issued a subpoena for video and news accounts from the first few days of coverage in the search for Brooke Wilberger.

Benton County's District Attorney stresses that the subpoenas do not necessarily mean that an indictment is imminent.

Meanwhile, the one person who has been a focus in the Brooke Wilberger case, Sung Koo Kim, remains in jail on unrelated charges in connection with the much-publicized theft of women's underwear from several college campuses.

Kim's attorney is currently working on ways for her client to make bail until a trial is set.

For all of you who are following this story, follow this link to the home page for KATU.com. On the front page today they show a story about Brooke, the one I posted above. However, below this story they have a link to view the video of Brooke's mother on AM Northwest. It is a full interview and very touching. I don't know how long it will be there, so view it asap.

I also wanted to mention the picture and ribbon of Brooke the mother is wearing is the same pin that ALL the missionaries for the LDS church in Oregon are wearing. I mentioned this about a month ago. I just wanted you to see. Since these fine young men are going door to door in all the communities in Oregon, they are keeping her face out there in the public eye.

Here is the link and I hope you are touched by this video the way I was...

Hi Anngelique,

I do come here almost every evening to see if there is news of Brooke. What happened to her is simply tragic, to be spirited away from her life and family in the blink of an eye. With no reason, other than some sick persons personal gratification.

The pin Anngelique, that all wear from the church who care about finding her, I would be honored to wear one everywhere I go. I live in Beaverton Oregon, right next to Tigard. Will you let me know how I can get a pin that tells anyone you meet, find Brooke. You can PM me. I will send you what you need for this. You never know what will help. Besides caring for her and her family, I'd like to do the little bit that I can to help find her.

Thanks,
Scandi

I personally don't know how to get the pin, but I will ask our missionaries on Sunday. :)

I think the button is just this template with pink ribbon. http://www.findbrooke.com/docs/wilberger_button.pdf There is also a link on findbrook.com to a button being sold by a local artist that are complimentary with a donation of $5 or more.

No, that is not the same one. The one I am talking about is the picture of Brooke and says Missing or Find Brooke or something like that... with info. If you watch the video of her mother on AM Northwest you will see her wearing one.

Six days is a long time between posts about Brooke. I hope this case doesn't fade away with no resolution.

Good Morning,

Today I see is the 3 month anniversary of Brooke's going missing, and all those who will be honoring her today will be fasting.

Time seems to stop in waiting for something positive in the case that could lead to her recovery. All they could say this morning is they know she was kidnapped.

Hi Anngelique,

Just checking in as I do every night to see if there is anything new.

Hi LoveMama and everyone else who is here. We have to keep the faith. Something will pop up sooner or later and the eyes of those great coppers will
spark with light. We'll hear something then!

:blowkiss: To All
