"We are asking people everywhere to really look at this image, see if you recognize her," said NCMEC Senior Forensic Case Specialist Ashley Rodriguez.

Anyone with information on this cold case should call 1-800-843-5678, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office at 541-474-5123 or the Oregon State Medical Examiner at 1-971-673-8300.

Did they send this report to all the states that are part of the isotopes? Haven't seen anything yet, and was thinking about calling the Aroostook county sheriff's office, since they cover nearly all of that border area in Maine between the US and Canada. I won't trouble them if they all got the information.

There's some similarities between Annie Doe and Cathy Moulton from Portland, Maine but Cathy was reported missing a month after Doe was found. I wonder how accurate Cathy's "Last seen" date is. Their heights, age range, hair, and shoes match and the new isotope info makes Maine a real possibility.

I'm sure Cathy's LKA date is pretty accurate. She has a thread on here, and iirc, a former detective on her case wrote a book about her. Sadly, her father just died in January.

That is sad to hear :(
I am new to researching missing and unidentified persons (just the past 4 weeks) and even with great databases like NamUs and Doe, not all LE agencies input cases into them. So many families could have answers if there was a national protocol.

We all start somewhere, and I'm still learning as I go. I'm just familiar with Cathy's case because I've looked at it many times, LOL.
I should have posted the link to her thread earlier. Sorry about that.

A hunter found a set of remains in the northern Maine woods in 1983 that they believed to be hers, but he was not able to retrace his steps and find them again. They searched again in 2004 with no luck.

I think I've run across her somewhere but I can't find her either. I'll keep looking.

Thanks carbuff. I'm intrigued to find out more about this girl, it's not a name I've seen on any missing person pages before.

I'm pretty sure that the name in the post isn't quite right.

Did that person mention what city/state she went missing from? That would make it easier to search.

Wow- I wonder if a volunteer with a high grade drone could do some flyovers in the general area in later fall before the first heavy snowfall.

"Are they able to tell if a body had given birth or not ? I had a young co worker, who in late 1970 or early 1971 asked me to babysit her three little boys in the East Bay city of Hayward, CA. She had met a guy, with a motorcycle and he was wanting to take her camping for the weekend. Her name was Christine Woods. Her three little boys were about two, three and four. Just little guys. Anyway, I agreed to watch the kids, along with my own and one of a friend, all about the same age. She never came back. I think her parents were from someplace like Texas, might be wrong about that. Neither the children's dad nor the grandparents wanted the kids and I had them for a while until a custody hearing and social services folks could step in. Chris had somewhat short brown hair, was a little bit chunky (curvy) and did not have perfect teeth. She was a sweet girl, a hard worker and loved her kids beyond belief. It made no sense. I will never forget her face or the horror of her never returning. Very sad to see there are so many other young people left unclaimed."

Now would be a good time to search, too, because the trees are just beginning to bud.

I wonder if the snow has melted yet there. My grandfather still has snow but he's way up north in Eagle Lake. :)

Yes they should be able to tell if they looked. Too bad her LE doesn't come here any more. Help I'd me will do what they can to get her listed if the person can recall specifics. I think Carl K's recon is more accurate, he even used her own red hair. I wish NCMEC would post that one too.

It would be good to contact the woman who posted this to see if she remembers anymore details about her friend. It's possible she got the name slightly wrong as neither I or carbuff could find anything in a Christine woods. It's worth looking into.

Christine Woods probably is not listed. That's why I said NCMEC (Help ID Me) will do what they can to get her listed to compare

I found a "Christine Eastin" missing from Hayward, CA but couldn't find any mention of her having any children. She was 19. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/e/eastin_christine.html
The only info I could find on Christine Woods is the case of Christine Wood from Manitoba Canada recently. Her body has not yet been found.

It doesn't sound like she's any of them. As I said she's most likely not listed.
