Oh Boy. I hope he got out of his vehicle knowing he had shelter somewhere!

According to the Klamath County Sheriff's Department at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, Corey Lane Alexander was last seen by a friend, and sometimes roommate.

The friend observed Alexander a couple of miles from his cabin before the snowstorm. However, the friend did not speak with Alexander, and also could not remember the exact date or time he actually saw Alexander.

The KCSO also learned that another vehicle normally parked at the cabin was missing, and efforts are underway to clarify where that vehicle might be. The family indicates that Alexander is an avid outdoorsman.

Sadly, just updated, found deceased.

UPDATE, 4:27 p.m.: Corey Alexander was found dead about one and a half miles from where his car was found, the Klamath County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

"Near noon today, searchers located footprints in the snow in an area not previously searched. Along with the prints were those of a dog indicating it was likely Mr. Alexander," the release said. "Other searchers and deputies located other tracks indicating an eradicate pattern of travel."

Volunteer searchers followed the tracks until they found Alexander and the dog. The dog has been returned to the family, the release said.

Rest in peace, Corey.
