Stick to the facts and those who know the facts.
Truth will out.
Truth will out.
I'm realizing this picture was probably taken after Dave had passed so the tanks wouldn't be visible
I would never intentionally interfere in the investigation by attempting to interview anyone unless I was already familiar with them, let alone "ask the guys at Hyatt Lake" anything.Ask the guys at Hyatt Lake.
*RSFF & BBMThe cartel of Jackson County ???
*RSFF & BBMThe new DA can take all the circumstantial evidence and prosecute!!!
@Lilibet Do you think the new owners will raze the cabin site and build on the footprint? From my wandering mind…The property where Dave lived was sold a year ago. I’m curious what the new owners plan to do with it. I wonder if they know about Dave’s murder. Oregon law does not require disclosure of a violent crime to buyers. I assume LE gathered all the evidence they needed early on, so the burned cabin site can be cleared. It’s all so sad.

Sounds like the perfect location to me.@Lilibet Do you think the new owners will raze the cabin site and build on the footprint?
It IS where the driveway comes up to and is in a naturally beautiful location, it's very flat, literally on the summit of DIMR.
I would be apprehensive to live in a site of murderSounds like the perfect location to me.![]()
I love the idea of memorializing David's name by going through the county process to change the name of DIMR or through Oregon Board of Geographic Place Names to name/rename the summit location of the historic lookout cabin with his name.I would be apprehensive to live in a site of murder
Maybe this place should be again a look-out for fires?
For the good of community.
It could be a tribute to the victim who was once a firefighter.

I cannot contact the authorities about the name as I live on another continent - in Europe hahahaI love the idea of memorializing David's name by going through the county process to change the name of DIMR or through Oregon Board of Geographic Place Names to name/rename the summit location of the historic lookout cabin with his name.
Either formally
"David Edwin Lewis"
Memorial Highway
OR
"Dave Lewis" Memorial Road
He deserves that.

Although my post no longer remains, I'm glad that I could be of service. I think it's a wonderful idea for a tribute, and fitting to remove such a horrific name.I love the idea of memorializing David's name by going through the county process to change the name of DIMR or through Oregon Board of Geographic Place Names to name/rename the summit location of the historic lookout cabin with his name.

A newspaper I have from September 2008
We took pictures last January of the markers, the bike path and Grizzly mountain in the background.
One of the reports of fire in the early morning hours of 9/4/2008 came from someone down in the valley in Ashland 13 miles away that could see the flames burning from over the top of Grizzly that night.
*EDITED TO ADD FIRE COULD BE SEEN AT THE TOP OF GRIZZLY FROM ASHLAND

Photos of David Edwin “Fish hook” Lewis - Find a...
www.findagrave.com
I didn't know Dave's remains weren't actually buried here, it's just a marker at the bottom of Normal Street in Mountain View Cemetery right along the Ashland Bike path across from Hunter Park in Ashland Oregon.
Dave's marker is VERY near, less than a block from where David Grubbs- a former co-worker of mine from Shop N Kart was murdered on that same bike path.
There's a thread for David Grubbs here on WS. It's very sad. He was a young and very kind, soft spoken, talented, hard working guy that was well liked by everyone.
Thread 'OR - David Grubbs, 23, Ashland, 19 Nov 2011'
OR - OR - David Grubbs, 23, Ashland, 19 Nov 2011
Why does this say attention Salem Oregon ?
There wasn't enough of David to be buried. We were there when they cremated him. The detectives did not want us to see him. It was individual choice.
They have the information / photography they will need to prosecute.
Why does it say Salem Oregon if it is supposedly a picture you took ?

They can, however the person who "maintains" that gravesite on Find A Grave is ultimately the one who is responsible for editing decisions on the information. I know because I had to battle/beg the guy who was responsible for my grandfather's grave in Indiana that I really was his relative and to let me take over "maintenance" of the memorial. He had incorrect information for him and was challenging me. I had to come up with family photos to prove my claim to him.On the Find A Grave website, any member can add information they come across as “BJ” did on 9/1/15.
Google told me that the address in Salem is the Oregon Department of Justice, where Stuart Bernstein works per his Linked In. I assume “BJ” got the information that Dave isn’t buried there from Mr Bernstein, so is naming his source.
Hope this helps.
