Found Safe OR - Demi Helenius, 23, Portland, 5 Aug 2017

Not sure which post of mine you are talking about. I don't think it's been confirmed the phone was thrown from her own car or who threw it. Family said they don't know who was driving her car but police should be able to tell if someone else drove her car and messed with her phone. Police have said there is no sign of foul play, so I'm not going to think that until we find out the results of them processing her car and phone, JMO. I currently lean towards self harm in this case (but I'm usually wrong). Trying to hope for the best that she is only voluntarily missing and will come back when she is ready.

Oops sorry! It was the post above yours, esldanmacs post. I am also hoping she is voluntarily missing. I am not really getting the foul play vibe but I too am usually wrong

Leaving the Embassy Suites at PDX it's pretty likely her car headed south through Portland on I-205, going through the east side of town. It connects back up with I-5 just north of Wilsonville.

Any Portland area news pieces should be emphasizing that her car may have been seen on I-205 Southbound, going through Portland.

Her mother said she left the conference sometime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Where is that quote from mom ?
How does mom know ?

The conference looks down on taking bathroom breaks and has 3 scheduled breaks throughout the long (13 hour I believe) day. Two 30 min breaks and then an hour and a half dinner period. So I am guessing the planned dinner break was scheduled for around the times her mom mentioned.

It is kind of odd that they don't know exactly when she left the conference. The hotel should have cameras.

Amazing!

I believe the conference folks know when she left because the really keep track of people who leave. I know it does sound kinda culty when you say it like that. Why would she leave her purse in her car unlocked behind a gas station? I was thinking of all the possibilities and I can't come up with one. Even if she was off doing drugs with someone she just met this wouldn't make sense. Just thinking about any possibility here.

I'm having trouble getting this link to open and it seems to be a blog. I hope this is true and we get more MSM updates soon.

ETA: Okay I got that link to open and looked at the press release which does look official but then I went to the Washington County Sherriff's office website and I don't see that press release there: http://www.co.washington.or.us/sheriff/
Am I missing it?

For one, it could have been because she didn't want to be found and didn't want to leave any traces. What better way to do that than to ditch your phone, car, and purse? Whatever the case is, hopefully that link is correct and she has been located safely.

I was able to open the link and there was a pdf of the Washington County Sheriff's office press release. It looked legit and I verified the name of the PIO on their own website. Hopefully MSM will pick this up at the 10 and 11 pm. news broadcasts.

Here's the Washington Co Sheriff's page with Press releases at the bottom: http://www.co.washington.or.us/sheriff/

I'm not seeing it there. Maybe they send it out via email before posting it to the website? I really hope this is true!

Thank goodness!! I'm glad she's alive and I hope she's "OK" or will be soon. Why Roseburg? Is that only as far as she got en route to a destination or is there some other reason to be there? Questions with no answers.

I'm thinking she probably wasn't in the right state of mind.

I am from the other side of the country so can a local help me out with how far roseburg is from where her car was found?
