An Oregon man has been arrested after he allegedly filmed himself raping a baby girl multiple times.

Police said Edd Lahar, 30, had recordings on his phone that showed him abusing the infant from June 2018 to as recently as January.



Lahar, of Corvallis, pleaded not guilty to 25 separate sex abuse charges in Benton County Court on Friday.

Authorities started investigating after receiving a tip that Lahar allegedly had child on his phone.

Police searched his home on Thursday and found the evidence of sex abuse against the infant.

In addition to the phone footage, police also found pornographic images on Lahar's computer, which he had deleted.

The victim was less than two months old when the abuse started and it continued until she was nine months.

It is not clear how Lahar knows the victim.

How did he have access to her for so long and her mother didn’t notice something was wrong with her baby?

For this to have continued as many times as he is being charged with, where does the mother fit with the “reasonable knowledge” that we have discussed in SP’s case. This was a baby who had to be cared for 100% of the time with multiple diaper changes per day.

Completely agree! There's no way an adult raped an infant and there were no physical signs that would have been obvious to a primary caregiver when changing her diaper and bathing her.

Police arrested Lahar on suspicion of 99 criminal offenses in the case, but the Benton County District Attorney’s Office elected not to formally charge him with most of those crimes, including seven counts apiece of incest, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and endangering the welfare of a minor.

I agree! And.... IMO the title of the article posted above shouldn't have said he "abused" the baby. He TORTURED the baby!
