I'm also kind of local to this (live in pdx - not this area)- and this area isn't the best. I also have a 9 year old & I'm not sure about this story. Why was she taking the trash out alone at 9pm? Did she meet up with these people closer to her home & then went to the max station with them? I know all families are different, but my 9 year old is in bed at 9.
Praying for this young girl. That she's safe & warm. It's super rainy & chilly here today.

This is going to be weird, but are they SURE that's her? The pic of her is a much thinner girl than the one at the train station. It's odd that she's got a suitcase they don't recognize, and she's being treated as family by people they don't recognize either. Are there any more pictures (and weight description) of the missing girl?
 
One article I read said she brought the garbage out at 11pm and I thought what 9 yr. old is up at 11pm on a school night. 9pm is still late and a 9 yr. old doesn't belong out after dark alone in MO.

Something is not right about this. Where did the suitcase come from? Who are these people? Why did it take so long for the mother to report her missing?

Praying she is ok.
 
I just can't shake that there is so much more to this story. I don't know what it is, but I hope LE is pressing everyone in this girl's life. She seemed to know where she was going. Surely someone knows where that is!
 
What the heck? This is crazy. Surely they will find other surveillance video of her getting off the train right? Is this public transportation?
 
I hope she is found. I also hope once she is found she remains safe. Such a scary situation.

Will be interesting to find out if it's mom's ATM card or a stranger's and if she was successful in getting money? I assume so since she was able to purchase a ticket.

Seems like pretty mature steps for a 9 year old to be taking and I have to wonder if she had teenagers or adults directing her the whole time or maybe ahead of time via SM or something.
 
Any locals know if kids her age take public transportation to school?

News reports said she got off at 148th and headed west. (With the same people.)

I wonder where she was. So strange. So relieved she is safe.
