"According to the Florence Police Department, at about 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, they received a report of human remains off Highway 101, across from Fred Meyer. [The remains were found] in thick brush over the top of a nearby sand dune."

"Police said the body is believed to have been at the location for a considerable amount of time based on its condition when found."

• A Chevy key and fob,
• black athletic track style pants with a white stripe down the legs,
• black hoodie sweater
• large in size brown rubber boots
• black sun glasses

"[the remains] are believed to be from a Caucasian male and the victim had a medical condition known as Mandibular Tori which caused over grown bone in the lower jaw."
