Florence co is so far away from Green Bay etc that they probably dumped her. They could have come from anywhere. But my money is on Michigan or southern Wisc.

I realized that the contact for the case is someone I already had in email contacts so I sent a quick email, but please do send also in case I have old info.
I also sent Dawn Marie Mohn

Thanks! Great, it helps, because I send a lot and I don’t want them to think I’m a crackpot.

Per email response from Wisconsin DCI, both Dawn Marie Mohn and Jody Newberry have been ruled out. Can someone with NAMuS access to rule out lists check that?

Also Nancy Renkas should be ruled out by now I imagine. In an early article, they didn’t think it was her.

You are right. Nancy has been ruled out. She is showing in NamUs as an exclusion.

I sent a screenshot of that to my contact so hopefully the list can be updated. I also shed if more info could be added to Namus, such as clothing. I also asked if DNA was being worked.

The only Upper MI missing I can find are: Helena Ann Negrete, Mary Ann Tautkus, and Leah Irene Harding.

My contacts response was that there is no clothing description to provide and they have a DNA company they are working with.

Ok, good to hear.

I'm not sure why they say nothing's been done when they've excluded 6 people. It's not as fast as we'd like - I know we all submitted potentials. They could do more. But this makes it sound like they haven't tested it?

it’s good that it’s staying in the news at least. I would hazard a guess that DCI has a DNA testing budget, and this is not a high priority maybe. Hopefully they are working on getting in for genetic geneology.

  • An adult female
  • 30-83 years of age at the time of death
  • 4'8-5'4 in height
  • White and/or Hispanic
  • Had been deceased for two to 15 years prior to the discovery of the remains

Well they look so different but at least we have something more than earrings. I wonder why DCI got involved?

Here's a slightly higher quality photoset.

They credit the Michigan State police as having done the color reconstruction (looks like a knockoff of Kelly Lawson's style IMO)

One feature that appears somewhat consistent is her narrowed chin. The estimated age, height and PMI is quite broad.

She looks a lot like Norma Jane Cavilee. Cavilee even wore hoop earrings.
