Both Gordon and the unknown decedent’s pages were removed from NAMUS in early October 2024. Would seem like it’s a match.@Quilty were you ever notified of a confirmed match?
yes but in order for WS to claim it as a match I think there needs to be some LE or official acknowledgement that the suggestion came from a WS member. Both Gordon and the unknown decedent’s pages were removed from NAMUS in early October 2024. Would seem like it’s a match.
Hopefully the poster who suggested the match has heard.yes but in order for WS to claim it as a match I think there needs to be some LE or official acknowledgement that the suggestion came from a WS member.
The last I heard was a few months ago when the forensic dentist was about 96% sure it was a match. I then got a follow-up message saying that law enforcement was aware of this and they were trying to get a more definitive match but were having some trouble doing so. Nothing since then. Both profiles were removed at the same time. Everything suggests this was a positive match, but nothing was 100% confirmed.(edited to add that the trouble they were encountering may have been due to a lack of DNA available for the doe.)@Quilty were you ever notified of a confirmed match?
I submitted through the Doe Network and believe that the last communication was to say that both profiles were removed on the same day, so this must have been a match. I could be misremembering, though- I think this was around 2 years ago…@Quilty Were you ever given an update on this one? Have to imagine it was a match as both pages have stayed removed, but would be nice to know if investigators reached out to you at all with an acknowledgement.
I don’t believe the CoD was released, only that he was found by train tracks. What was the circumstances/cause of death for the uid that was found and matched to gordon?
