I still can't figure out just what moonlightpath is. Is it a business wholly owned by Heather or is it more like a franchise?

Moonlightpath.com is simply a domain name. Any business could be behind it. But looking at the site design with an unbiased eye... and Heather, if you ARE reading along, please don't hate on me for this... it was very amateurish and homespun. In fairness, it also lent to the charm of it. It wasn't terrible, and in fact, it was pleasantly aesthetic, but I think if it were a franchised site, it would almost certainly contain meta tags in the source code, as well as her affiliate ID. Neither are present, so I'm going to assume that she had someone register the domain and create the website for her. All the same, even if someone else registered it for her, they'd probably have transferred ownership of the domain to her name. Of course, that's just a good business practice, and not necessarily what occurred. The actual person who registered the site is not listed on the WHOIS, for privacy reasons, but I'm sure LE could get the info.

Hello Alar,

As per this domain look up:

Registrant:
moonlightpath
6485 W Haleh Ave
Las Vegas, Nevada 89141
United States

Domain Name: MOONLIGHTPATH.COM
Created on: 31-May-02
Expires on: 11-Jul-18
Last Updated on: 02-Jul-10

Administrative Contact:
Thompson, Heather

Heather is also the technical contact.

This is definitely Heather's site -- but did she nurture it, or did she have the help of others. My guess is that MT might have helped at one time, then Heather took over, dunno.

I looked at Heather's page shortly after the report of her death. There were several page contents there which are no longer there (obviously cleaned out within the last week or so). You can look at the present pages, versus the cached versions of those pages, to see what was there.

Here is the cached version of the home page.

Here is the cached version of the spiritual counselors page.

On the counselors page, you can see that Heather was the only counselor listed.

The above two pages seem to be the ones that were significantly changed, with the home page now noting the "we" and "our." Interesting to note on the counselors page there is "Heather" and "me" (referring to the work she does.) On the old home page, there was:

>>Life counselors/Healers available to offer advice in<<
>>Intuitive healers are available to offer psychic readings and counseling.<<
>>We’re also available for lessons<<

So...we do see a "we're" available. It is possible that Heather was going to begin a page offering a group of counselors but that she hadn't gotten to that point yet.

As far as the recent changes to the page... It is possible, per what Missizzy wrote (I think) [where someone on Keen had asked and paid for a reading and hadn't heard back, so they wanted their money back], that those in charge of Heather's affairs felt that they had to begin to shut down intake for services that could not be rendered. Were I her parents and did not have web skills, I might have asked MT to help (if he felt he could -- passwords, knowledge of how to access etc.). IF he was asked to handle things, MT might have put the "we" and "our" with the mention of the page changing soon for several reasons... A) As a "we" who wanted to change the page as a memorial to Heather or B) He might have asked for permissions to have ownership of the moonlightpath.org and .com domain name (seems he did with Heather at one point) or C) both A and B

Heather owns moonlightpath.org (where HT and MT's geneaology things are) until mid 2011 per: http://whois.domaintools.com/moonlightpath.org

I suppose what has me baffled is the reference to the "Remedies" page and the "Links" page. I might assume that Heather's heirs (those managing her estate, probably her parents) are directing matters, so I am going to guess they are directing that which is seen on her webpage (though this is not necessarily a fact, they probably have FAR TOO MUCH pain and other things on their plate to do so, they may be asking others to help). This is where my "baffling" gets difficult to explain. I think that I have evidence to believe that Heather's parents have a different belief system than Heather did, perhaps a somewhat opposite one, but I am not all together positive. Granting that her parents have the belief system that I think they do, I don't think they would want to continue publishing Heather's remedies or links for specific reasons. Sorry...I can't expound more than that to explain my being baffled.

At anyrate, perhaps the change to Heather's page -- which has been announced -- will clarify things.

Dear All,

I understand that Heather's funeral will be held in the area where her parents live. I have looked for the funeral announcement there and cannot find it yet. Is anyone aware of the day and where it will be held? Alar and/or X are you able to go?

I can only imagine that Heather's parents will need to feel those who loved her around them.

Okay, not to join the "conspiracy/TH is the source of all evil in the world crowd" but I am pretty sure there was a self-pronounced psychic posting comments regarding Kyron on some of the local (OR) news agencies webpages who was named Heather. Now I am not suggesting TH or anyone else related to the Kyron case is responsible for this woman's death. Just saying, if it is the same woman - How odd. Will have to go back and look for documentation. Hope the older comments are still there. I hate when those get removed. I will look into it and post links if I find them. Until then, this is unconfirmed musings.

Do we know why she moved? I wonder what was going on that stirred up the idea to move in the first place.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK "WRINKLES" FOR HELPING ME TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO GET AROUND ON THIS SITE.

orb--Per reports from her family and friends, Heather was drawn to Oregon for "spiritual" reasons and for the weather. IIRC, her ex-husband said that she did not like the heat of Las Vegas.

If she was truly a green witch, as is looking probable, I have to wonder if she saw some significance in the name of the Oregon town she chose, Green?

I never knew Heather but I'm drawn to her as she seems to be a woman of dichotomies. She's Wiccan and yet owned a carpet cleaning business. She chooses a screen name, LadyDragonfly, to appease those who want prettiness but much prefers her given name or nickname, Cldhrt. She adored her dog and yet his name is Louie. That is not a common name for a witch's dog in Oregon. Even I, the dog name obsessor of the world, often roll my eyes a bit when learning the names of dogs in Southern Oregon. Meadow, Caj, Swift, Willow, Moon, Ara, Taru, Maja, Zephyr.....all common. But, Heather chose an old-fashioned down-to-earth name.....Louie.

I think I would have liked Heather.

The services will be held in Southern California. I am unable to attend, but was given the time/date/location a few days ago. All who plan to attend are asked to RSVP and indicate how many people will be in their party.

The location information was broadcast on a public facebook profile of another person in our friends network there, so it didn't seem to be intended to be an "invitation only" service. Please PM me for the details of the service.

Do we know why she moved? I wonder what was going on that stirred up the idea to move in the first place.
I never asked her reasoning on this from what I can remember. We connected as she was trying to help me locate a mutual friend, but after that seemed like it wasn't going to pan out (certainly not due to a lack of effort on her part), we came to learn that we were both moving to Oregon. She expressed a lot of interest in restoring an old place. I'd say that perhaps her religious beliefs could have brought her here, sure -- from what I've read (and sorry I can't recall where now) that part of Oregon is pretty Wiccan friendly(?). Living in a city with the name of a color does seem to fit.

I'm confused....aren't psychics supposed to be able to see this coming and take appropriate action to avoid it?

Once you discover that "psychic powers" aren't real, the confusion will lift.

Being psychic, in my humble opinion, is merely listening to what the person tells you, and being able to reflect it back in a way that the person hears what they wish to hear; listening for voice/tone cues that indicate you're on the right track, other clues are had in their visual reactions or surveys/questionnaires they might fill out beforehand. It doesn't take much to come up with a "reading" that's very personalized, yet ambiguous enough that no matter what happens, the person can have the sense that it "came true". While I feel that Heather genuinely believed in all this, I (personally) don't think any of it is real and, therefore, she would have had no way to foresee this. I am as psychic as you, and you are as psychic as me, and we're all as psychic as one another. People want to believe, need to believe, but that doesn't necessarily make it real.

Wrinkles, thanks for the reminder of domaintools.com. I used whois.net and they didn't provide as much info. Thanks.

I would certainly agree that there are many Wiccans in Central and Southern Oregon. However, Green is kind of out of the general loop as far as I know. Roseburg, while a really nice town, strikes me as pretty conservative. There's lots of water sports, hiking, hunting, and school sports, etc. We've already identified that there is a Wiccan friendly store but that doesn't mean that the general community is welcoming.

Early on, I think Wrinkles posted a link to Heather in Williams. That's where I would have expected her to land. Williams, Ruch, the backroads of Grants Pass, Ashland, Veneta, Eugene. Those are more the centers.

But if I'm not mistaken, Heather did not go around in full garb, did she? We have many people in Ashland who are always in long flowing silk and linen with all their crystals and special talismans. And you've gotta have the beat up green Suburu station wagon to be worth your salt, covered in the the nations' best bumper stickers. LOL These folks are not hard to miss and merely add to flavor that is Ashland.

I got the impression that Heather was a jeans and t-shirt kind of dresser. I doubt that she would raise suspicions anywhere. After all, she'd recently been a business woman working with the public.

I think that someone close to her turned on her for some personal reason or that she somehow got involved with something illegal (knowingly or not) and allowed her house to be a drop off point. I know that it is said that she didn't do drugs but we need to keep in mind that over 36,000 Oregonians are legal Medical Marijuana Card Holders. Even if Heather did not choose to partake of cannabis, she certainly could have been licensed to grow or to be a MM caregiver. Her home could have been a grow site.

We've had a recent uptick of violence even with the legal grows, especially at harvest time. And harvest time can be anytime for inside grows. That's the best I can come up with until we hear about the autopsy.

Interesting points to consider.

Actually, I have often heard psychics reoprt that their precognative abilities do not extend to their own lives as well as to others. Besides, there are as many types of psychics as there are trees. Some pyschics only see the past, some see the future, some hear the spirits of those who've passed on, some get visions, some get impressions, etc etc etc.

Psychic doesn't necessarily translate to precongnative.

Rather than editing my post above, I'd like to clarify it. After re-reading it, it sounds disrespectful and condescending and that is NOT what I'm all about. I apologize if I offended anyone. I was trying to make the point that Wiccans and Pagans do not usually attempt to stay in the closet in Ashland as they are accepted just as is any other faith or following (sorry, but I can't include Satanism or neo-Nazism here).

I happen to know many women who dress as I described above. But guess what? That's the way I dress too. It's kind of an Ashland "thing". I should not have used the word "flavor" as I believe that denotes that a person's faith and belief and way of worshiping their god or their earth adds to a town's "flavor". I've always thought it wrong for people to travel to Amish communities for the "flavor". The green Suburu comment is kind of a local joke. I think, along with Priuses, that must be the official Ashland car. Ashland is a diverse and open-minded town and there's a lot of people watching. That welcome is what drew our very diverse and multi-cultural family to Oregon. But I wouldn't want someone saying that my family added to the "flavor" of the town.

So, please accept my apologies. I want to be inclusive and reach out with love to those of all faiths. I also want Heather's family and friends to know that WS is a welcoming place for them.

I was struck by the way Heather described herself here:

http://www.keen.com/details/LadyDragonfly57/Love-Relationships/9486735

"....a third generation claircognizant, clairaudient, clairsentient, clairvoyant."

I found these definitions (within this context) of the words above:

http://psychicvas.com/psychic-psychic.htm

The five normal senses are: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching.

The five psychic senses are: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairalience, clairgustance, and clairsentience. And the six or rather seventh sense is claircognizance.

Clair is a suffix, in French, that means clear or clearly.

Clairvoyance means clearly seeing

Clairaudient means clear hearer

Clairalience means clearly smelling

Clairgustance means clearly taste

Clairsentience means clearly feeling or sensing

Claircognizant means clear knowing or understanding

I'm left wondering what Heather meant by "third generation". Is it known if her parents or grandparents are also psychics? The only thing I've seen about her parents are that they live in Southern California and one is involved in neighborhood safety and one is taking adult education classes.

I've looked and looked on sites I know to be circles or groups for green witches and I've not found a single tribute to Heather. I wonder if she had a circle or if they know about her death, being that she moved so recently.

http://www.keen.com/details/LadyDragonfly57/Love-Relationships/9486735?pg=2

I have no idea if this is of any importance or not but I thought I'd post it. I just read all of the reviews for Heather's email readings on Keen. She used the name, LadyDragonfly57 and started getting reviews on January 11, 2010. The last one came in on August 10th, after she'd already passed. Her rating was 95% as she had many 5 star ratings. I wondered about the 57 ratings and the LadyDragonfly57. That seems a bit spooky. When she hit 57 reviews, she was murdered. I looked at some of the other "reader" or psychics and they have from 0 reviews to thousands of reviews.

Anyway, I noticed that she was not referred to by her given name, Heather, until March 28th. Before that date, it was only by LadyDragonfly57. Also, there's a comment by Heather and a few reviewers that there's some sort of problem with the Keen email system. Heather gives her personal email address ([email protected]) in case people have trouble reaching her.

I really wish that someone could notify this last person as to why Heather has not responded. I'm surprised that there's no tribute or online memorial to her on this site.

Very convenient :)

I'm going with the idea that it doesn't extend to their own lives because there is no such thing as a psychic, and errors involving yourself would therefore be difficult to explain otherwise.

As a note... There is no more updates yet on http://www.moonlightpath.com/
Pages seem to be the same as they were a few days ago.

I haven't found any local news on this -- in other words, what is going on with the team working on this murder? Anyone have a clue, seen anything?

It surely seems that this wouldn't be too hard to solve?

 • #120
Wrinkles--I'm in Southern Oregon and have heard nothing. As I said upthread, I haven't seen any sort of tribute to Heather on any of the psychic or Wiccan sites. I honestly don't know what to think. Typically, most murders (with a few notorious exceptions) do get solved in Oregon.

I have not heard that the autopsy report has been released, either.
