The partial remains of an adult (probable male) were found by employees of the Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Area at the bottom of Heather Canyon. Remnants of clothing were also found, see clothing description for more details.

He has ruleouts so hopefully he has DNA. The canyon he was located in is next to some ski slopes, maybe he had an accident then fell down?

Also, would anyone have suggestions on what era his glasses are from?

Kenneth Budlong seems like a decent match

Circumstances: Budlong was last seen on September 24, 1995. He went on a solo climb up Mount Hood, a 11,235-foot peak in Mount Hood National Forest. He was an experienced climber. Authorities believe Budlong suffered an accident on the mountain, possibly on the Reid Glacier, but his body has never been recovered.

Same mountain, but he was supposedly on the western side of it. Maybe he had changed his travel plans last minute and didn't tell anyone though.

I contacted Dr. Vance about the possible match to Kenneth Budlong, but unfortunately he has no DNA or identifiers on file, so comparison is impossible at this point.

Clothing sounds 1970s to early 80s. Glasses are 1970s aviator style shades

no expert here but the frames LOOK like artifical tortoiseshell, and authentic tortoiseshell goods were banned in the early '70s so probably later than that.
