I would like to know more about the circumstances under which he went missing. Who saw him last, was he known to be headed somewhere, did anything go missing with him, what does his family suspect happened, etc.?

As far as this UID mentioned by @warpday, I wonder if his DNA can be easily compared to James' DNA?

I'm glad to see people are still looking for Monti.

He was a friend of mine, we went to highschool together. I remember hanging out with him one evening at Dennys, and then he was gone. Hell, it was several days before anyone really realized he was missing. There one day and then just gone, and I wonder if the group of us were the last to see him. I don't remember any family problems or any hint that he was going to run away, and nothing seemed off that night. With 30 years having passed I've been thinking about him, and back to that time, but nothing comes to mind.

So little to go on in this case, and I always wonder what happened to Monti.

I have no idea, but there is a lot of wilderness out there to lose a body in, especially back in 95. Maybe he got on the wrong side of someone, maybe he just had an accident while out by himself, but after this many years I suspect he died back then. None of us really wanted to say that back then, but I think we all thought it.

Sadly the case file is really bare, and I feel like it's missing information from the time but I don't have any links to back up my memories, which are pretty hazy at this point. Like I thought they found his car abandoned, but nothing is in the case files so that could have just been a rumor that was flying around school.
