Caucasian or Asian mail around 26-28 (could be Hispanic, Indian in that area as well)

Graduated high school around 2000? (first murder)

Done with under grad and grad, probably technical field. Just moved back to the area, probably a member of the first vic's high school or neighborhood?

Small world, probably not in town, but nearby.

I think we have us a serial.....gotta be more vics. Find out where he went to school.

Not only that....but aren't there allegations of abuse in both cases? Big-brother type?

Wonder if everyone's water around her house was not working or did someone target her house and turn the water off. It seems she was being watched like it was someone that knew she would go to her mothers house or someone that was hoping she would leave the her house. I wonder if the mother's neighbors heard or saw anything? Always tons of questions in cases like this.

OMG this is creepy. There seem to be so many crimes happening in these really, really rural areas lately. I live in NYC and people say it's a dangerous place but personally I think it's some of these rural areas that attract the real creep-o's. Maybe the isolation attracts them and they feel they can get away with more since fewer people are watching?

I agree she was probably attacked while getting in/in/getting out of the shower. If I hear a noise while I'm in the shower I start freaking out, all I can think about is Anthony Perkins in Psycho. Plus taking a shower leaves you in a very vulnerable position: naked, covered in suds, and unable to see/hear what's going on outside the shower.

That a was a strange comment for Jayme to make about her boyfriend, if he is indeed her actual current boyfriend and not just the father of her child - although if LE says he's in the Bering Strait I believe them and he couldn't have had anything to do with this.

Don't know if anyone has posted this yet or not, but NG mentioned that there were "signs of struggle" in the bathroom. Anyone catch that?

Yes, IIRC Jayme's mom said LE asked her not to discuss that aspect of the case.

if you watch the ng video I linked above Nancy (as usual) interrupted the mother as she was giving details on the bathroom :banghead: all I could make out when she was not being loudly talked over was that someone had been in her bathroom and used the shower... and the carpet was wet all the way across the room to the counter (on other side of bathroom).....

Thanks Nancy...

Have they found any evidence in the house, car or driveway that points to Jayme being hurt or assaulted in any way? Blood, or other body fluids? If not, the perp probably attacked her inside the house, incapacitated her in some way, perhaps by knocking her out, and then moved an unconscious Jayme to a nearby vehicle. At least this would point to her still being alive. Maybe someone was obsessed with her, kidnapped her, and is now holding her against her will? I know, I know most abducted women and children are killed within a few hours of the abduction, but this case seems to give me a different feeling. I think there is a good chance she may still be alive.

A 31-year-old woman who went missing from her mother's home near Coquille on Monday left behind a wet rug, a freshly vacuumed floor and pieces of a necklace she adored, said Cindy Gisholt, mother of Jayme Sue Austin. Meanwhile, some 70…

I have to link the search page to this snippet because the oregonian has taken the words off of the link! (if anyone else gets the article to pop up let me know)

I found it interesting and telling that "pieces" of her adored necklace were found... not just an intact necklace... and it was a quote by the mother as well...................

ETA: here is the link that was up for this article... that has poofed: http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index.ssf/2009/11/missing_coquille_woman_left_be.html

LOL, I know this isn't a funny subject, but you cracked me up with the "thanks Nancy...". :)

I just listened to my Tivo again, NG asks if anything was out of place in the bathroom, anything out of place in the home. She says everything was in place in her home, but NOT in the bathroom. And LE has asked her not to discuss. Because of what it looked like they have listed it as suspicious, as a crime. Then she says she verified the BF was in the Bering Sea with his employer. Which the DA says no one has verified...

It's at the :44 mark of the show if you are looking for it.

Can't find it either. Maybe they were asked to pull it??

that is what I am thinking... but it was a quote from the mother.

Gotta LOVE bing! They put actual snipets up on the search page... that was how I noticed the "pieces" of a necklace...

sure does make the scene, aside from the floor being wet and the rug vacuumed, highly suspicious. Someone could have grabbed her by the necklace and it broke and told her to "grab your clothes" or "get dressed"... also there were towels in the dryer...

but why leave the car and the phone.. .so much does not add up... very, very, very strange. I hope she is okay!

Thinking outside of the "stalker" box, what if she wasn't the target and her mother was? This happened at Mom's house and there doesn't seem to be a Dad living there. It would have to be someone that was familiar with that residence and knew where to get in and what would be locked. Otherwise I would think that neighbors and/or the person inside would be able to see or hear them breaking in. They would not have known she was in the shower when they were breaking in. Also, the stalker couldn't have been sure she would even go to her Mom's house. She may have went to a friends, or just went to work without a shower.

Don't know, but if the mother was the target then the person would not have gone in the home seeing a strange car in the driveway. I really think Jayme was/is the target and I think LE should look hard at the person who was stalking her a few months back by getting into her accounts and changing pass words. I would not put it passed a jolted lover either, if there was one.

I wonder why the floor was a vacuumed and if the bag was taken or emptied if it was a bagless. Maybe the abductor wanted to make sure there were was none of his hair left on the floor or footprints on a certain type of carpet. Very scary. Towels in the dryer is odd, unless he wanted it to look like a non abduction. A male would probably try to clean up the carpet and towels but leave a really wet bathroom floor behind.

How scary. I haven't heard about this on the news, and I live in Southern Oregon. I hope they find her soon.

I was thinking the same thing! Check that vacuum cleaner bag...
