Found Deceased OR - Jeremy Golden, 38, hiking, camping at Honeyman State Park, Florence, 31 Aug 2019

Jeremy Golden, 38, was last seen about 6 p.m. Saturday at Honeyman State Park, which is just south of Florence. Agencies searched miles of trail near where Golden’s family believes he may have gone. He’s described as about 5-foot 8-inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds, with short black hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, black shorts, and black shoes.

I'm afraid he most likely had a medical event. Almost 40, significantly overweight, hiking. . . I hope they find him.

Also, in the brochure they mentioned that there are lots of sand dunes in the area, which I imagine would be hard to search if that was the direcction Jeremy went:

"The park is situated within a 47-mile stretch of dunes from Florence to Coos Bay. Two miles of dunes separate Honeyman from the shoreline, but no marked trails lead to the beach from the park. From October to April, ATVs can drive directly onto the dunes from H Loop."​

The large Siuslaw National Forest is also a couple of miles east of the Honeyman State Park office. I hope he can be found quickly.

Sheriffs, family seek man missing since Sunday

• Reported missing Sun, Sept. 1, at 5:49 p.m.
• Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue searched several miles of trails on Monday (Sept. 2). They did not find any indication that Jeremy used such trails.
• Similar efforts took place Tues as community efforts joined the search.
• LCSO is asking anyone who has seen Jeremy Golden or knows where he is to call 541-682-4141.
