Washington Co. deputies ask for help finding missing man, 79

•has dementia
•went missing from the Garden Home area between 10 p.m. Thur and 6 a.m.
•His caretaker was asleep at the time
•likely wearing a dark blue jacket, dark sweater and khaki pants
•6-foot-1 and weighs 170 pounds
•likes using Garden Home-area walking paths

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call non-emergency dispatch at (503) 629-0111.

Mr. Swearingen, the missing man we had been looking for today, was found safely in Portland and has been reunited with his family. Thank you to the community, Portland Police Bureau, and Explorer Post 877 for helping with search and rescue!"​
