Officer shot, perp caught, but they are asking for people to look for the missing K9 that may be injured.

The officer's K9, a German shepherd, remains unaccounted for. Police believe the dog may have been shot. He was wearing protective gear at the time of the incident.

Police are asking residents who may have seen the dog to contact 911. "We wouldn't want anyone to approach the dog," Simpson said.

He died in the line of duty........God Bless You!!
I LOVE dogs!!!, and dogs that are "service" dogs like this one, to help protect society against thugs, I truly appreciate the dog's duty. This is so sad!! RIP!!

I am GLAD the perp was caught!!!!!!!
I hope he has multiple charges against him, including animal cruelty (resulting in the death of the k9.)
