Interesting comment in response from "Robin" who claims that an AR-15 is uniquely powerful ot more lethal than a shotgun. This is utterly false. A 12 gauge shotgun is far, far more powerful and far more lethal than an AR-15 which is merely a hopped up .22. Only limitation is range which is depenndant on ammunition type.. This misconception seems to have influenced Judge Wiles' opinion.

We need to have Judges who are smart enough and educated enough that they understand how lethal firearms and other weapons can be. Judges should not be giving violent criminals a free pass for gun crimes just because they use a familiar and politically correct gun.

BTW, I will be interested to know what type of firearm was used to kill Karissa (and William?). I have a hunch that it was a 12 gauge shotgun.

Not sleuthing someone who is not already arrested for attempted murder. Their previous, well documented criminal history demonstrates the failures of our courts. The proximity to where Karissa and William were found in my neighborhood is coincidental but depressing.

I also take the shooting personally because the courts gave the neighborhood marijunna bootlegger a free pass for shooting at his landlord's children with the same type of firearm. The psycho testified that he wasn't a threat because he loads his shotgun with birdshot "because he doesn't want to hurt anyone."

I have speculated that a shotgun was used to murder Karissa and maybe William because the injury would be so horrific that only a professional would recognize that their skeletons
were human.

My daughter owns a similar Ruger A 380.
The Tacticool gun nuts will deride compact pistols, but the puny pistol in your purse is better than the assault rifle at home in your gun safe.

Of course my daughter also owns some full size hanguns in 9mm plus a Ruger Mini-14 (think the A Team TV show). Senator MacCain had no idea that his campaign aid was essentially his private security detail when she was chauferring him around.

If Karissa was armed, it would explain why the Big Bad Wolfe lurked in Salem for hours. Probably waiting for Karissa to go to sleep. Given their previous intimate relationship, BBW knew where Karissa kept her pistol which ensbled him to keep her from getting to it.

I very seriously doubt that BBW murdered William and Karissa with her own pistol to make it look like a murder/suicide. Not taking one of her cars and leaving her glasses behind would discredit that theory. However; it is a possibility.

Just a bit more information for the prosecutor.
If your identification of Karissa's gun is correct, it is chambered for the .380 Automatic cartridge. This cartridge is a member of the "38 caliber family." . The concept is explained here:

If the Big Bad Wolfe shot Karissa with another .380 or handguns chambered for other cartridges in the 38 caliber family, it might be possible to confuse bullet fragments with bullets from Karissa's gun. The guns that are members of the 38 caliber famiy include .38 Special, .357 Magnum, 9 millimeter Parabellum, and .357 Sig.

If any of these guns were used, a corrupt defense attorney could exploit any uncertainty. The police and the DA need to know to be forwarned and prepared.
