"See what the evidence really is; who knows, maybe [Fretwell] just up in the middle of the night went to Mexico and no one knows where she's at"

Wow. I'd be real curious about that guy's background

Sounds plausible.........especially without glasses, child car seat to ride in any vehicle, etc. Good Lord.

Did MW steal KF's car? If he had an extra key to her apartment made he might have had an extra key made for her car. Stealing her car would have been a means to harass and intimidate her. Might have also been a ploy to cost her money.

oh gosh no, I have paid a couple of dollars for spare car keys. My key/alarm fobs were quite a bit more but even for a new car, a straight key worked from the hardware shop in town. My kiddos always lose keys to houses, cars, etc. so I've had to do that quite a few times

Depending on the year of the grand am( I believe that was the on that was stolen). A key without a chip would be cheap. If it had a chip those start about 75.
