According to info linked above (post #14) Kimberly intended to have breakfast with a friend on Wasco Street, three miles from her home (an 8-10 minute drive) near I-84 which she would take to Portland. She never arrived at her friend’s place and there aren‘t obvious places to be abducted/hijacked en route, although perhaps she could have picked up a neighbor who was hitchhiking. IMO it just seems more likely that she was approached on her property. Could it have been someone she knew from the area who asked for a ride? That’s how Whitney Heichel was abducted. I tend to compare cases. I honestly think abduction by an acquaintance is more likely than by a stranger. This person may be nearby hiding in plain sight. A bit of DNA and genealogy research could solve this.

I would be very inclined to agree. The only point that directs attention away from that is that there was nothing of note in any online communication whatsoever according to authorities. If there had been any circumstantial leads for that, I suspect some evidence could have plausibly been found, such as a lack of an alibi for a suspect or something, but who's to say. I think the more realistic thing, I suppose, is to try to narrow down where the body could be. I feel discouraged about how lacking in evidence this case really is despite her car being found. I wonder whether there was more to her internet logs than what was mentioned, but the police would need pretty concrete stuff to throw names around. As I'm truly dipping my toes in this for the first time, I suspect I may have to learn a hard lesson that some cases just have no leads.
