A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Oregon after he allegedly chewed off an elderly man’s ear and part of his face in a bloody attack on a train platform, authorities said Tuesday.

When officers arrived, authorities said they found the suspect continuing his attack on top of the victim and a large amount of blood.

Officers quickly took the suspect into custody and called paramedics to aid the victim, a 78-year-old man from Hillsboro.

Detectives said the victim was not stabbed, and that the suspect had actually chewed off the victim’s ear and part of his face. First responders reported that the victim’s injuries were so severe they were able to see his skull.

Authorities identified the suspect as 25-year-old Koryn Kraemer, who they said had recently moved to Portland from Georgia.

What is it with people eating other peoples faces? Not fingers, arms, etc. Just there faces.

“Kraemer told a detective he consumed alcohol, marijuana and fentanyl pills before the attack”

That is quite the cocktail. I can imagine that would make anyone do some odd stuff!
I wonder what was in that weed?

I’ve heard of weed being cut with LSD, PCP, Meth, and all sorts of other things. If he got a bad batch he could have consumed a hallucinogenic that caused some paranoid behaviors. Additionally weed can sometimes make people paranoid even if it isn’t laced. I had a friend get a bad batch once and it really messed him up.

Lol I’m just gonna say I’m pretty sure we can’t blame the weed for this…
I’m not sure how much clear thinking one can do with that mix-it’s possible the fentanyl was cut, but that is a lot for someone’s brain to handle.

Trying to understand the “robot” smell lol

The FOX phrase “caught chewing” doesn’t even come close to capturing the situation. The word choice sounds like when mom catches a toddler with an oatmeal cookie from the countertop. This was a savage attack.

I for one would like to know exactly what drug has led people to do this because the high from it cannot possibly be worth finding out you went full Hannibal as soon as the comedown hits. I know it’s a rarity but TPTB should really consider using these “side effects” as examples in whatever drug prevention programs schools might still have to scare kids away from these things!

It was bath salts in the florida case.
I agree, marijuana wouldnt do that and its legal in Oregon. Less likely to be mixed with other stuff.

I don't think trying to scare kids with side effects so rare that they still make the news and quite a stir is going to work. If 'you might die' or 'addiction is a horrible burden' doesn't work, then 'you might hurt someone else' isn't going to work, either.

It's unfortunate but, like I said, so rarely happens that it's still a headline -- and that's if it's because of the drugs alone, and not the result of both drugs and mental illness, which is a pairing that often goes hand-in-hand.
