Age 13, Missing since 27 September 1975 from Greensburg, PA

Teresa was last seen in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on September 27, 1975. She left her home to go to a female friend's house at 11:00 a.m. Teresa left behind all her belongings, including her purse and clothes. In spite of this, she was initially considered a probable runaway by law enforcement.

Teresa's parents stated she had never gone anywhere without telling them where she was going and had never stayed out late without permission, and they didn't allow her to date. After her disappearance, however, it was discovered that she had lied to her parents on multiple occasions and was secretly involved in a risky lifestyle that included adult men.

One of the men Teresa associated with was a police officer who was later imprisoned for murder; another was a pedophile who was involved with drugs. It's unclear whether any of the men she knew were involved in her case.

Years later, one of Teresa's female friends admitted she and Teresa went to a "party house" on Bell Way in Greensburg on the day of her disappearance. The friend said she left with a man at 6:00 p.m., leaving Teresa at the party house, and this was the last time she saw her. One theory is that Teresa died of an overdose at the party, and the other guests panicked and disposed of her body.

Teresa is the youngest of six children. Foul play is suspected in her case, which remains unsolved.

Today is Teresa’s birthday.

Bell Way is such a short little passage with nothing much on it. I'm guessing there were some residential buildings there fifty years ago.

Is there more than one Bell Way in Greensburg or was it originally a longer street? Looking at historic aerials and topo maps, it doesn’t look like Bell Way existed at that time (at least, it doesn’t appear on the 1979 topo and looks like maybe a footpath on a 1986 aerial). Was any info released about the “party house”?

Per old newspapers it sounded pretty desolate in the mid '70s (including a condemned apartment building) and was "straightened" circa 1984, so it definitely has seen some structural change.

Nothing much else has been said, that I've seen, regarding the house itself. Despite being virtually in the shadow of the courthouse, to me it sounds as if it had a reputation as a shady area. At one point, I did have a name of a cop who was one of the "adults" in the house. He'd been involved in a killing for hire plot and had died some point in the last twenty years. I don't remember anything more specific than that.

Just as a little aside, even with no memory of the name of the person rumored to be involved I was able to find it all again in under five minutes. We all know you can't post anything like that here, but just by doing a search of the area and the separate crime he was allegedly involved in you can easily find the name. The obit is still up and there's even a photo on a relative's FB.

Several girls went missing from Pennsylvania and adjacent states in 1975. Some are probably connected or similar in MO.

This year marks the 50 year anniversary of this case.
