Katarina, The scanner threads are located downstairs in the members only forums. (wher the Jury Room and Parking Lot are located) There is a scanner thread for Kyron there and the 'Scantastics' are very helpful. I am sure they can assist you in locating the correct channels. If this has been posted already forgive me. Does anyone know whether the location where Jim Kelly stated he saw the white pickup with a boy inside who looked like kyron is a route that leads to Sauvie Island? If not, where in relation to the Island did he see the truck? TIA

Just a little correction, the sighting by Jim Kelly was just a woman in a white pickup truck at 3 PM Friday and 2 AM the next morning, he didn't see a boy. The white VW sighting had a woman and a boy.

I assume this was directed to me and the initial post where I had attempted to link to a blog. I did remove that post because my link was faulty.

That said, I am looking for reference to the WS TOS where it prohibits links to blogs. I know it is not permittable to just list a link and say 'check this out' without explanation. But I am trying to learn if indeed it is a rule violation to post a link to a blog WITH an explanation of what it is about in my post.

Any guidance would be helpful. THANK YOU

The school will be open tomorrow, just as usual. I cannot believe that LE would allow this if they suspected,even remotely,that someone from the school is involved.Why would the school be open,possibly risking the lives of other children ? It makes no sense, IMO. If this was a random event by some SO, why choose the school ? When there are so many kids who are surely easier targets ? IE children playing alone in their yards,children walking home alone after school, or children out playing in a park alone ( or even with a friend ). Why would a predator,choose a setting like this school,where most people knew each other,even if only by sight ? They would risk being caught,and possibly very quickly. Strange case....

Maybe it wasn't Jim Kelly then. I remember there was a sighting of a white truck that had a little boy in it that cut someone off and the witness stated the boy looked like Kyron. When the witness saw Kyron on the news that night he called LE. This was not the white vw.

Many sites and blogs are not reliable or carry rumors, so they are not allowed to be posted on WS. If a site is blocked, it will show up as ****** when you click the button to preview your post.

The school has already been back open for a week since Kyron's disappearance. I don't think it will matter much now. It's up to the parents to send the kids to school. Some are keeping their kids home.

I remember one of the local news stations saying that the school (or TVF&R which is right next door) has a weather station up there.. weatherbug I think..

i believe that was the dirty gray/black pickup from way back last weekend i think. There have been so many Kyron sightings but i sure have that hinky feeling about the 2 pickup truck sightings reported by Mr. Kelly

Oh, I remember that now. I believe the driver (not JK) said it was a dirty gray truck and the little boy had a scared expression. I forget where this was.

I think that today or tomorrow the police are going to have to come clean with the public as to what they believe has happened to Kyron, if indeed they have any clue whatsoever. I am not at all sure that they do. But to go on in this cryptic way...they cannot do this forever while they try to figure it out. Look at all of the rumors and scenarios out there and even here on the boards...LE is fostering this atmosphere of rumors with their carefully-chosen words and "no comments." You can get away with that for a while, but we are in the 2nd week of this child being missing and it is getting ridiculous. If they don't know-they need to admit it. And if they believe this is an abduction, they should say so, even if they do not want to name a POI. They need to give the community a reason to believe that this is a one-off situation, as they have indicated. Right now, there is no reason to believe anything they say, as they have not indicated one way or another what they are investigating.

I honestly think they asked about videos just to add to the kitchen sink of investigative tools. I don't think they know what they are looking for, unless they are trying to trace the movements of one specific person, which could also line up with the reason for searching out on that island. But my fear is, they are just trying to cover everything in the manual of what they should be doing.

I can see why 48% (latest figure) of the people who voted on KOIN's website think this case is getting too much coverage, as they are sick of report after report of LE telling the public absolutely nothing. As soon as the PC opened yesterday, I knew they had no new information as they started off talking about Kyron's likes and dislikes. All nice to know, but obviously just another way to try to divert from the fact that they do not have a direction to go in. And to even talk about the family and their behavior at all when they can't or won't clear them is very uncomfortable, at best.

If LE won't answer any media questions at all-stop the PC's altogether. They are an embarrassment to watch. JMO

Last year in St. Louis a man walked into an elementary school through a door that was unlocked and told a random 8-year-old girl in the hallway that her teacher wanted to talk to her outside. He had her on the ground out behind a dumpster when people at a neighboring apartment complex intervened. She told the police "He tricked me! He tricked me!"

How terrible! I can totally see how this could happen though - because kids wouldn't want to question an "authority person". Even though that guy didn't belong there, the child didn't know that or was not comfortable questioning that. I guess they need to teach kids at school what to do in situations like this. How terribly scary this is. I can see most of the kids my son's age doing this. What would they tell them at school - don't do anything anyone tells you unless they are school staff and have their name badge on?

Btw, when I volunteered for my son's field day, I noticed MANY people there with no "visitor" stickers. I noticed volunteers who did not have their volunteer badge on (just a visitor sitcker - which to me means they are not people who have been checked out). I also noticed teen aged siblings there with their volunteering parent, but they did not have visitor stickers on. Plus there is no accountability as far as who signs in/out on the visitor log. Also my volunteer badge was missing (I have not checked it out at all this year), so they made me another one. So is someone running around pretending to be me? Also the volunteer badges are just in a binder on the table in the office. They should keep them locked up and make you actually "check them out". I will be putting together a letter and list of suggestions for the district.

When they say an isolated incident.I think they think the person was only after Kyron,not an abduction would make me think Kyron went off with someone he knew or wandered off.I pray they have been on the right path and not the wrong path.
