I'm thinking maybe the teacher did get up and go find out where Kyron was and possibly found out.
Tanner said that after the students got back to the class, a "substitute" mentioned Kyron's absence, was reassured by the teacher, and the article attached mentions that the substitute then said "Ok, well, I guess I'm going now." (Can't remember if I actually heard Tanner say this!) So the substitute left the classroom quickly after the children were back in the classroom. That left the teacher alone with the students, presumably, since there has been no mention of any other adult remaining in the room. Surely if the teacher left the class unattended for any amount of time, this would have come up by now. LE has interviewed, in their words, "many, many of the students."
Also if the teacher did leave the room and discover where Kyron was, then we've got just a few, very narrow possibilities. She could've found out that the child left with SM, but LE has said the family is fully cooperating, so that is more than likely NOT to have happened. The teacher could have found out some other person took Kyron or hurt Kyron and just decided to keep quiet about it, but that isn't likely, IMO. Maybe the teacher discovered Kyron and did something herself? She must be a very talented or very lucky criminal since the school has been searched more than once.
I'm not really sure where you were going with your idea, and of course you have a right to form your own opinions, but it seems rather improbable to me that the students could have been left alone for any period of time and not one kid mentioned it to LE!
Respectfully shortened. Remember that there is an 18 month old child in this home. If something "happened" and there wasn't LE presence at this home, the public would crucify the FBI and Sheriff's Office. (Reasoning=One child is already "gone"; don't risk the life of another even if it might only be a 50% chance. Read profile involving filicide.)
I remember the baby! I did read through much of the content of the links you posted, but I still don't see that any of the information has any bearing on this case! You seem to be suggesting that the officer is in the home (if indeed he is still there) for one or both of the following reasons: to protect the baby, or to prevent a suicide based on profiles about fathers who murder their children. Since there is no evidence at all that Kyron's father was anywhere but at work that morning, since he hasn't been named as a POI or suspect, I guess I'm just not getting the connection. IF Le thought the baby was in danger, from mom OR dad, they simply have to call child services to remove the child from the home. Way cheaper than having an officer remain in the home all day every day.....since we know that "liason" officers do exist, I find it way, way simpler to believe that the officer is (or was) in the home in that capacity.
I've said this before...I don't believe it was the SM. We all need to remember Jaycee Duggard's SD, and Kevin Fox. Good Lord, the hell these two must have gone through: losing a child and then being accused. Very, very sad.
Plus, especially with younger children, it's extremely likely that a parent was the last person to see them. It's common sense...not something that should lead to a suspicion of guilt.
You are right. I'm still kinda confused about who actually saw Kyron last, especially after re-watching one of the first pressers in which the Sheriff states that Kyron was last seen in the "late morning hours" which sounds like way later than 9AM to me! I wonder if they previously thought they had a later siting and discounted it?
