Five  My hat's off to you!

I guess maybe we shouldn't try to use Tanner's statement too precisely out of desperation to build a time line. That has bothered me all along. Why would the teacher say that about the bathroom if she thought he was absent or had an appointment? I shouldn't count too much on Tanner's words.
yeah I notice in some cases some of his words are accepted, but not all. Just trying to sort that out.

my 5 sons treat my like a queen so no complaints :)

you're sweet.
hahaha my kids are grown and almost all gone ;only an 18 yo left at home.
but with that said i have to work in the morning so figure this out while I sleep k?
Going to have to have someone elese figure it out for both of us!! I got to take my adoptive daughter to counseling in morning and get my special needs son off to his bus and feed the other children etc LOL I am about to go to zzz land!!

I don't know but maybe the statement from dad was carefully gone over by the Police, FBi or someone as to not say anything that was going to impact the POI or case. It would loose a lot of its warmth possibly. Not sure if it was written before or after FBI was involved but maybe.
Sorry it is late and I can't sleep.

I have worries about Kaine’s letter because:
--it is isolating-don't talk to the media, tell people you feel comfortable with...not strangers????
--it is rigid-maybe this is because he is an engineer??
--it is controlling-he is telling people what they should do and it is "weird" advice. "Do not speak to any media if contacted."
--it is unrealistic-his advice serves some "unknown" need, but doesn't seem to serve Kyron's need for everyone to see his photo, know his "story" and search for him. If they were told this was a abduction for ransom, maybe his letter is not unrealistic????

There is no mention of SM in the e-mail being at school with him except "we" when he said they went to get him off the bus. he says "He was dropped off at school about 8:45 "

But that is not what happened . She didn't Drop him off at school she went with him to the Science fair thats not the same thing. or is not to me. Dropping him off would be. I drove to school my child got out of my car and went into school. JMO.

i am really a compluter clutz...i do not know how to post links but...if you go to webshots welcome to my house of cards you will see a pretty good likeness (its been bugging me even if it is kind of irrelevant)
If you google "sun face," especially in Google Images, you'll see lots of very similar sun faces. It looks to me like a stained glass pattern, though I haven't found this exact pattern. It could also be drawn from a mosaic.

Maybe she told her DH that she dropped him off???

JBean...

My opinion only. I have not used anything that the child who was interviewed on TV has said. For one, I think it was wrong wrong wrong for the grandmother to disregard a request from the sheriff about it. And secondly, he might have been a witness in a future trial, but I believe that is jeopardized now and more than likely he won't be called to testify. Except maybe by the Hormans, should they decide to sue the school (although I don't anticipate that, either).

Now, if someone from law enforcement had said, "We have a child who can place Kyron at x place at x time," then that would be valuable in constructing a timeline.

It could be that Tanner witnessed Kyron leaving with someone. Can you imagine the grilling that this child would take by the defense? He's now got statements out there, and any good defense attorney will say, "Tanner, you say you saw Kyron leave with x person. That's a pretty important fact, wouldn't you agree? Why didn't you mention it on your interview on TV? Did your grandmother practice your lines with you before you went on TV?"

I'm just glad that other parents have had the good sense to keep their children off of TV, both for their children's sake, and the sake of any future criminal or civil trial that might result from Kyron going missing.

Maybe she told her DH that she dropped him off???

He doesn't even say that Terri dropped him off, opting instead for the no-responsibility-assigned passive voice.

Portland Public Schools to Make Changes to Absentee Policy
http://www.kgw.com/video?id=96349739&sec=547977

Though we don't know if it would have made any difference in this situation ... if the teacher believed that Kyron wasn't supposed to be in school, he would have been marked absent, and there would be no call.
.....and no notification of police. Someone that worked or volunteered in the school would know this policy and could have used it for an eight hour time advantage???

Unless the policy is very strict and says missing school requires a letter from the parent.

I have been thinking on this for awhile and I can not come up with anything except that LE has a very specific reason for calling this a criminal investigation and calling off the ground search. If the only reason they called off the ground search is because they havent found anything suggesting he walked off on his own does that in turn mean they have found something suggesting that he was taken by someone, because if not than they may be making a HUGE mistake. As I posted many threads back there was a teenager in Haiti that survived INJURED under the rubble of a collapsed building for 15 days, and in Nadias case they didn't find anything showing she had wondered off. I think they should continue with the ground searches.
I'm sorry but theres a lot of woods out there and even a 7 year old could get far in 8 hour and not to mention every hour after that.
I think they should continue with the ground search as well as look at this as an abduction. Caylee was 15 houses down from the home in the woods and EVERYONE missed her.

The young and the elderly have a decrease survival rate when compared to previously healthy young men in such situations. (IMO, Kyron would not have survived in a collapsed building without H2O and food for 15 days without Divine intervention.)

Goodnight peeps!

Goodnight Kyron. God please hold this baby close tonight and guide LE to where he is. Keep him warm and let him feel the love of all those who are praying for him.

It is so painful to even think about the "what ifs". I pray that they had thermal imagers in all the helicopters and they KNOW that a child is not out there alive. These are awsome machines. I had a fire in my trash can (never buy teenagers fireworks...arggggg!) that was in my garage. The fire
department went through my entire house with a thermal imager to see if anything else was "hot". I would not have slept for days if they had not done this to help me KNOW that there were not embers simmering. ( I live in a 100 year old house and fire=poof.)

May have already been discussed - but have all the teachers, janitors, and visitors been questioned? What about cameras? Now that the investigation is criminal, what is that they know that we don't?

Hate to say it, but we have a lot of bad teachers in the system!

Bless you Kryon.

MOO

They had infrared and thermal on the blackhawk early on.

my kids are older. I really would have to dig in the attic to find out how good they were at drawing at age 7.

He seems to be such a good artist. Any art teachers out there?

Also, I have to wonder if that sun is from a book or a picture or a photo or something he was free-hand copying, or if it really was from his mind.

And is that a feather or a peace sign atop the squirrel drawing? It looks like a symbol - kinda tribal to me.

I was thinking he maybe copied a window or hanging of some type.
