Was the white truck towed away from the neighbor's home that was searched? I'm glad people's homes are being searched, especially any who may have shown a special interest in Kyron or even his family.

An Officer would likely follow the truck to make sure an Officer was with the truck every step of the way so no one could later say the Tow Driver planted something etc.

How about an unmarked police car? (we have them in Canada, not sure of they use them there)

Joel Iwanaga from KOIN News says undercover agents were at the candlelight service this evening. Really, I need to grab a link as they are saying a whole bunch in their spot on the case.

DA's or Deputy DA's have been spending quite a bit of time at the Horman home. Some gentleman said that is not the usual but often they do. When a link pops up on KOIN I'll post it.

ETA: Nothing yet, but the broadcast is ongong.

It is possible that search warrants were only just obtained, since this was only named criminal on Sunday.

It could work the other way too...someone in the know would know that if they sent the truck out to be worked on - any future evidence obtained from it would be questionable.

Another thought...would this be a good time for LE to slap a GPS tracker onto the truck?

I just don't see LE making such a huge mistake as to allow obvious evidence to slip through their fingers. IMO, that means they've gone over the truck and they've "cleared" it.

I think it was very irresponsible for the news to post the video of the truck being towed. That causes unnecessary speculation. This was not an LE tow--there was no police presence there--period, end of story. If they thought it was bogus they would have followed it. My guess is that is was towed so they wouldn't have to be chased by the media to the dealer. Sheesh!

They have to do something to keep the ratings up, and of course the comments coming after it is posted! lol

“As part of the search for 7-year-old Kyron Horman, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is collecting video from nearby storefronts, private homes, security cameras or any other surveillance recordings from June 3 and June 4. Investigators are specifically looking for video of vehicular traffic from the local stops in the map above.”

Can someone figure out how to post the map on this site? TIA

Does anyone besides me remember all the incredible coincidences we created in the Caylee Anthony case threads? I mean, for the first 30 days there were Zenaidas all over the place, we even found one at Casey's vacant babysitter's apartment complex.

I can admit that it's easy to get very excited over an event like this, but one has to ask what exactly we really know about Mr. Kelley's white truck in the first place. The answer is; nada. We don't know if it's a cab, what make, what year.

So if we pretty much know nada about Mr. Kelley's white truck 1, then how can this really even be a serious coincidence?

JHMO.

Car@l, Hi there, I never read anything about that with the dogs and all. Do you have a linkipoo? Ta

I am so glad I was able to find this by keyword searching.. I think it was back in thread #2 I saw it.. It would have taken forever to sift through everything

Kelley, who lives about a mile and a half down hill, at the end of a winding, secluded country lane off Cornelius Pass, said police, federal agents, K-9 teams and helicopters scoured the area Saturday.

"We had two odd sightings of a vehicle on our road Friday," Kelley said. Around 3 p.m., he and a neighbor reported seeing a white pick-up truck with a female driver pull to the end of the long road, idle and then turn around. Then again at 2 a.m. Saturday morning, a similar white pickup truck appeared, idled and when a neighbor loosed her dogs, eased away.

"A, it was strange to have a car there, any car there, that we didn't know, and B, it was strange to have a vehicle come down our dead-end road twice in the same day, hours after a little boy goes missing," said Kelley. "That's beyond rare."

Kelley said authorities have twice searched the deep ravine, creek and railroad tracks located near the end of his street by air and on foot.

Answered my own question on if they had searched there by finding the article too.

?? what criminal was named on Sunday?

I think he means the investigation was deemed to be 'criminal', although it's clear they were working that angle from the start alongside the missing/endangered search.

FWIW - LE let the pontiac sit for almost 2 days before coming and getting it. By that time they had KC charged and in custody. LE KNEW about that car THAT night - LA in interviews said when he got there it was in the garage with all the windows down and doors open to, ya know, kinda VENT that thing. He went on about how the smell was so bad!!!

Don't need a warrant if owner says OK - and that I know firsthand!!!

HEY guys... I'm late to the game tonight, I read a few pages back but, whats this about the family's white truck being towed? Who towed it and when? Is this the same white truck someone said a lady was driving the day Kyron went missing?

does anyone know if information was posted on anyones social media prior to Kyron going missing? I mean was there information online telling where he would be and what time?

It was towed today for mechanical failure and not by LE (that we know). We do not know if this was the same white truck. (bummer)

I meant needing one to place a gps on the truck (although I suppose they could agree to that.... damned if I would tho').

To be fair, I have to say that it's very likely just a coincidence that the Hormans own a white truck and a suspicious/mysterious white truck was spotted down the road the day Kyron disappeared. White is still the most popular car color choice in the US (1 of 5 cars sold in 2008 and 2009). And pickups are pretty common in the Portland area.

Pensfan, Was there something of note said about Laidlaw Road? I remember reading something but didn't really zone in on it. xox
