Hard to believe that I am all confused here. (ha ha) I thought there was a sighting of a white truck in the afternoon and then one in the middle of the night.

What day was the middle of the night sighting?

I thought they were both before he was missing?

....was from the night/early morning before Kyron was reported missing.

HEY guys... I'm late to the game tonight, I read a few pages back but, whats this about the family's white truck being towed? Who towed it and when? Is this the same white truck someone said a lady was driving the day Kyron went missing?

Family had it towed on Monday to dealer for repairs. It was not accompanied by LE unless the driver was in disguise lol. No idea how if it's THE white truck seen then or more recently on the island.

IIRC, someone said that there was a garbage dump there and they wondered if that was what LE was looking at.

It was towed today for mechanical failure and not by LE (that we know). We do not know if this was the same white truck. (bummer)

Does the truck that was towed belong to the Hormans?

To be fair, I have to say that it's very likely just a coincidence that the Hormans own a white truck and a suspicious/mysterious white truck was spotted down the road the day Kyron disappeared. White is still the most popular car color choice in the US (1 of 5 cars sold in 2008 and 2009). And pickups are pretty common in the Portland area.

I would agree with you Sofia except for COINKYDINK, being parked across the street from their house, their truck {if it is}. Gives room for a red flag or two. eh? IMO

This is an area where LE wants to review any videos which show the traffic.

"We had two odd sightings of a vehicle on our road Friday," Kelley said. Around 3 p.m., he and a neighbor reported seeing a white pick-up truck with a female driver pull to the end of the long road, idle and then turn around. Then again at 2 a.m. Saturday morning, a similar white pickup truck appeared, idled and when a neighbor loosed her dogs, eased away.

"A, it was strange to have a car there, any car there, that we didn't know, and B, it was strange to have a vehicle come down our dead-end road twice in the same day, hours after a little boy goes missing," said Kelley. "That's beyond rare."

Well, there was the big sign right outside the school announcing it and the talent show. I bet the whole school community was pretty excited about the big day.

Where does it say the truck was parked across the street? I missed that totally.

I have a Honda car that is almost 10 years old and I live where there is winter and on a dirt road with potholes.

Guess the Horman's should have bought different kind of truck if it needs repairs so soon. I doesn't look like that old of a truck, but one white truck looks like the next to me.

But, on June 13, LE stated two facts:

1) This is a child who got lost inside a school with faculty there.
2) That was the last time the child was seen.

Sheriff Staton didn't censor himself from saying those things, regardless of all the censoring LE's been doing. He didn't carefully make sure that any certain context was understood. He stated those two facts, and let them fly.

And those two facts are that Kyron was 1) lost inside the school, and 2) last seen inside the school. And that means nobody saw him leave with SM.

Double wowsers.

The part above BBM, Even if the last place he was seen was inside the school does that mean that he didn't leave with SM. If that is the case, and we say last time he was seen was inside the school, that means nobody saw him leave with anyone at all..not just SM.

It was towed yesterday? Boy, that took a long time to make the news then. I assumed it was towed today since the spot about it was from today's news. I am sure you are correct. xox

As far as the white truck being seen twice in the neighborhood. Logic would say that if it were the families truck it would not stand out as being an unfamilar vehicle. Obviously the neighbors have seen that truck before.
I went to a small part of the vigil and I have to say there were not as many people there as I thought there would be. I found a parking space right away and the room had a lot of empty seats. Four hundred people seems like an overestimate to me. There were 3 Multnomah county sherrifs cars out front and several officers in uniforms in the foyer. Did not notice any undercovers but then again that is the point. I saw where they had a place to write notes to the family and Kyron but I didn't write anything for my own personal reasons. I heard the family was there for a short time but I didn't see them.
As far as the towing the truck, I don't know if it had any relevence since we don't even know what vehicle the SM was driving but I did notice that the white truck had a lot of dirt over the wheel wells. I HOPE if the SM was driving that truck that day that someone would have taken soil samples. I can't believe LE would be that incompetent unless they know for certain that she wasn't involved. Maybe I am paranoid but it does seem like a coincidence that the truck was taken at this time. They are keeping things so hush hush that I can't see them making an announcement and I could see them doing things to hide any suspicion towards the family. I would assume that the family would have no problem giving permission to have the truck searched and I could see a cover story being given, but again that is just my paranoia. Might be perfectly innocent and a coinicidence. LE is playing it very close to the vest.

I never looked at the FB myself but I guess if SM posted something along the lines of The science fair is today, than it would have been implied that it would have been Kyron's and that it would be at the school. I would assume anyways.

This is a timeline of events. The Oregonian's reporters and editors will adjust this account over time to add and adjust information.

Searchers have declined to provide some details of the investigation, including when school officials marked Kyron Horman absent on June 4. Here's a basic look at what happened on the day the second-grader disappeared from Skyline School and the following days:

Friday, June 4

8 a.m. Skyline Elementary, 11536 N.W. Skyline Blvd., opens early so students and parents can tour the science fair. A billboard outside reads: "June 4, I.B. Inquiry Expo, 8-10, Talent show, 1-2:45." Kyron was to take part in both the expo/science fair and the talent show.

Terri Moulton Horman arrives shortly afterward with her stepson, Kyron.

8:15 a.m. Gina Zimmerman, president of the school PTA, arrives and sees Kyron with his stepmother in front of his exhibit.

8:45 a.m. Terri Horman leaves after watching Kyron walk toward his classroom after touring the science fair.

9 a.m. Someone reports seeing Kyron at the school, but investigators won't say who or where.

10 a.m. Classes begin.
