Also not sure why a child would be afraid of the police? AND watch CSI? I thought most parents taught their kids NOT to be afraid of police? I thought that was odd when I first read that.

yeah, me too. :waitasec:

On one post today, in one of the comments, she asks her friend not to contact a media person she knows, that she wants to keep it in the family? That seems odd to me...

I would also like to know the relationship between Terri and Kaine and Kyron's biological mother and Terri and Kaine and her old son's biological father and step-mother.

Not that I heard of. Also, I don't understand why the parents aren't making a plea in case he was abducted.

I can think of some reasons. Kyron is only 7yo, in 2nd grade. If I were a parent of a child in that school, I would be terrified of it bringing so much attention to itself. Predators are everywhere, they lurk around looking for scenarios such as this and maybe the parents don't want to be identified by picture or name anymore than they already have been. just some thoughts. Let LE and the FBI do their thing, and who knows, maybe all the parents were told to be quiet regarding pleas and giving out any info they may have. just some more thoughts.

I'm confused about all this talk of step-mom! Why would she go to all the trouble of packing Kyron's awsome science project, help him get it in the school, help set it up, stay with him while he answered questions, be seen walking him toward his class-room - only to what? Do him in? Please someone - help?

After the Ethan Stacy case I am not at all shocked that someone would go out of their way to make everything seem normal to outsiders. I am not pointing the finger at Terri, but I will say I am suspicious of her. Something is just rubbing me wrong with the way the day played out. JMO

I honestly do not think the stepmom was involved. stranger things have happened, of course, but nothing on her FB page sets my hinky meter off. quite the opposite, little Kyron is in a lot of the photos and she seems to be very involved in his life.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before (I've read through everything but may have missed it), but where was the science project set up? In his classroom or in another room? Were there other parents looking at their kids' projects as well? There's a photo on the stepmom's FB of another little boy and his science project. Did other parents take pictures in the room? Would be helpful to see those photos, if nothing more than to get more of an idea of the context. this case is literally making me sick to my stomach, Kyron is so adorable and needs to be safe at home, playing with his baby sister and getting ready for a fun summer.

Thank you. I've been feeling this, but reluctant to say it. I can't say exactly what, but something about her FB page disturbs me. I think it's the relative lack of Kyron on there. There are ample mentions of her daughter. That may be nothing, babies do more and are cute, but it left me slightly uncomfortable. This combined with the smiley face updates and lack of statement from the bio-parents worries me.
I said the same thing!

Yeah and right after that remark was that damned smiley face again. That comment (according to FB) was 3 hours ago today.

I'm a little confused about why the teachers/faculty thought Kyron left school early? Do they know who claims to have heard the stepmom or Kyron say anything about leaving early? Since the Stepmom didn't call 911 until he didn't get off the schoolbus it doesn't make sense that she told a teacher that he'd be leaving early. It also doesn't make sense that if after noticing his backpack was left at school that someone didn't think to themselves "how odd that Kyron's Stepmom forgot his backpack when she picked him up?"
(Sorry if this is confusing...I guess that's a reflection on how many odd details there are in this childs disappearance )

Unfortunately, the scenerio with the step mother is the only one that makes sense right now. Until we know more, which LE doesn't seem to even know right now. Two things stick out to me. One, she is a fan of CSI, which might give her more knowledge to get away with things, knowing about evidence and what LE would first look for. Leaving him at school, having a picture and witnesses that saw them there yet no one saw her (or him leave). Also, and this may be a stretch, but what I was thinking when I read her Facebook today was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Münchausen_syndrome_by_proxy. Like I said, it's a stretch but she seems so calm and collected and kind of relishing in the attention?

Terri has claimed to be looking for a job teaching for over a year, but can't find one. So she's staying home with the child.

Kyron's mom's family (under her friends section on FB) are showing extreme concern, they obviously are a part of his life...

There isn't even a picture of him or a picture of his missing poster on the stepmom's wall. There's some talk of getting missing posters and an announcement of her "new liason" for people to contact. She puts a smiley face after saying the cat goes and sits on Kyron's bed???? (One of the only posts of hers showing now that even mention his name.)

Odd.

And the "muah."

OT a bit... I've got friends on my FB who use "BFF" and "muah" etc. and I always think, "Grow up...this isn't a jr. high slambook." Heh.

It says they are not processing applications for her at this time.

Not the cat, the little sister...I guess her nickname is Kitty. At least, I don't think the cat is getting hugs and reading Kyron's books... but then again you never know. :waitasec:

I wasn't going to go there, but I'm glad you did. My thoughts are heading along those lines, too.
